The greatest gift of life is friendship, and I have received it.

Another interesting poem, full of emotion and hope. Thank you for sharing it. I can see that you put some effort into some rhymes. You didn't keep the rhyme scheme going the whole poem though. The first stanza sticks out with virtually no rhyme, but the others have it a little. The second stanza has it AABBB, third stanza is ABCCC, and last is AAABB. 

The only reason I comment on it was because it was different. When reading it didn't bother me, or seem out of place. It is just - random. I'm wondering if there was a purpose.

To me this poem was working out the speaker's emotions about a friend that they see going down a path they don't understand and cannot follow. For me this felt like watching a friend start smoking cigarettes, or getting addicted to cocaine or heroin. Soon their friends change, they hang around with crappy idiots already destroyed by their indulgence, and you realize that they are not thinking anywhere similar to you. 

How do you appeal to a friend that sees the world so profoundly different than you do? Or is absolutely unwilling to acknowledge the obvious pending disaster?

I'm left at the end of your poem hopeful, the speaker suggests that this person is "whining" probably about the scummiest folk, and that complaining, that opening up to the speaker leaves them hopeful that they'll finally make an attempt to quit whatever they've started. 

I would love to read more about this conversation where the person is whining, and why it is the "right timing." To me, this is the meat and potatoes of the poem. This is the portion I see most interesting. Maybe details on what makes those "creatures" so "scummy." 

As always, I encourage you to avoid cliche. Some examples here are: 
- silver lining
- wake up before the end
- end up round the bend
- must be blind
- see things clear

This is clearly an emotional poem, a poem of release and hope; and it spoke to me that way making me thankful to have read it.

A revolution is not a dinner party, or writing an essay, or painting a picture, or doing embroidery.

I just can't get that "paranormal partnering" alliteration out of my head. What does it mean? In love with the ghost of lost lover, holding on to someone that has passed?

The ambiguity intrigues me.

I was so filled with emotions when reading this poem.
I think it speaks so much about me.

There's a battle in my head exactly about this.


I came across this poem btw when I hit the "anime" tag, as I was surprised to see one. Then your post was first on the list. You got me at, *"I don't know what to do, I've run out of things to say.."*

How funny is it that some people would just capture exactly what you're going through and be able to put it in writing?
