WHY DO YOU SELF-UPVOTE YOUR POST?

There are two school of thoughts about self upvoting, one school of thought believes that there is nothing wrong with self upvoting and the other school of thought thinks that it is wrong to self upvote on the steem blockchain.

I think that which ever school of thought you below to on the divide, you are right, I don't know 😀.

But I think that there is nothing wrong with self upvoting, because I have not seen anywhere on the steemit whitepaper that said that it is wrong to self upvote.

### I think that there are several reasons why some people self upvote their posts.

1. Some people self upvote to encourage others to also vote their post too. There is every tendency that a steemian won't vote a post that has no votes on it, so I think that some people self upvote so that they can get others to vote their post. What do you think?

2. Another reason why I think some people self upvote is because their post is not making enough for their liking.

I think I fall into this category of people who self upvote because their post does not really earn enough for their liking. Anytime I make a post and I earn $5 and above on it, I hardly self upvote it, but if it makes less than $5 and lower, then there will be a high tendency for me to self upvote because I felt it didn't earn enough for my liking.

I noticed that some people and they are very few with large steem like @theycallmedan who do not self upvote their posts and their post still does well. I think this is the place I want to be some day, where my post earns enough without me self up voting, but for now I do self upvote especially when my post does not make as much as I want.

Am sure there are many more reasons why people self upvote their posts.
