Millions of people all over the world live in conditions in comparison with which an apartment in a typical Khrushchev apartment will seem a luxury. In many countries there is a deep stratification of the society of the rich and the poor, and in the center of large cities you can see apartments for millions of dollars, and on the outskirts there are “cardboard boxes” with a roof made of cellophane, which cost practically nothing. The poverty of these areas has a negative effect on the crime situation: drug trafficking is growing there, and tourists are strongly advised to avoid them. 
Bangladesh
The population of a small district of Bangladesh is approximately equal to the population of Russia, so it is not surprising that every square meter is populated in this country. At the same time, Bangladesh is one of the poorest countries in the world, 63% of the working-age population is employed in agriculture. Slums in big cities were knocked down everywhere, even a few centimeters from the railway tracks. Locals dry their clothes right on the rails, clean when they hear the train's horn, and some even create a vegetable garden between the sleepers. 
In general, life in a slum occurs on the street, since most of their monasteries are so small at home that they only keep the bed. On the street, people wash, brush their teeth, communicate and even pray: there are not enough mosques in Bangladesh at all. The poorest live in the open air - more than 10% of the country's population does not have a permanent residence. The rest are compressed either in clay huts or in “houses” assembled from scrap metal. It is worth noting that the slums of Bangladesh are among the safest: their inhabitants are very friendly.
Life like hell
Bangladesh is one of the few Muslim countries where prostitution is legal. The Bordal Kandapara in the Tangeil region has been around for 200 years. It is the oldest and second largest brothel in the country. Many of the women working in Kandapar grew up here, some were born here.

In the morning, customers gather in the yard, and they, and the rest of the people around the sex workers, do not treat them as equals. Poor girls are forced into prostitution. They are the property of Madame, the owner of this place. They are not allowed to go beyond the brothel. The lion's share of their earnings, they give Madame.
