For every smile that crosses your face
It makes me feel accomplished for the day.
Like every bit of sunshine has given me grace
And happiness inside that no one can take away.

Some things that I myself am overjoyed;
Others of which I am happy for your sake.
Some matters you are happy, but I am annoyed
But still because of you, a smile I can still make.

No wonder even if you smile because of others
As I feel I have not made you happy all along
My heart gets pricked as I pull my covers
To let my face smile where it should belong.

Now, even if you smile not because of me
I can genuinely smile and not as a facade
For you because it makes you happy
For me because I for you am glad.

Since I am your friend that values your joys
I would like to know better how be genuine
In knowing the things that matter in your present and tomorrows
And loving them as mine as your friend I have been.

Grateful I am to share such happy moments of yours
To feel that answer why it makes you joyful
The sweetest and simplest experiences full of smiles and joys
Are my greatest appreciation that makes this friendship more beautiful.
