#### My illustrations for the book of Francesco Fioretti: Dark Forest.
The book is a a prose version of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy.

In 2017, the Typotex publisher invited me to make illustrations and cover for this book. 



I had to illustrate in black and white. I like this technique. Creates without colors, always requires more creativity. It is difficult to explain why. You certainly know who has tried this technique. Once an illustrator wrote to me: Zsolt, Black and white is power. And that's right. :)

I was thinking a lot about how depressing and dark the pictures are. Dante had deliberately depicted the age of his society. This book presents all the human sin that exists, so I decided that the drawings could not be nice and smiling.


I worked a lot on the drawings. Of course, these illustrations are full of tiny details too. :)


My plan was to make an illustration for each chapter, but unfortunately I didn't have time. But I'm satisfied with the result. I think they're gonna give the mood of hell perfectly. :)
