We all know how important and necessary it is to keep our body fit and for this we do many things like - gym, jogging, and swimming. But do you know that you can exercise the eyes like other exercises of the body. Exercise of the eyes keeps the eyes healthy and also helps in reducing the stress on them. Warm both your hands by rubbing the palms. Close your eyes and cover them lightly with hot palms. Do not put pressure on the eye wall. Cover the eyes in such a way that no rays of light reach them from between the fingers or the palms. During this time, take a slow deep breath and think about a good event or a good thing happening in the future. After this, remove the palms and open the eyes slowly. Do this process for at least 3 minutes or more in a day. 2) Massage your eyes: #### Hot and cold compress - Take two towels, soak one in warm water and the other in cold water. Take one of the towels first and then, while applying light pressure on the face, rotate, make your eyebrow and eyes comfortably touch the area around. During this time keep your eyelids closed so that the eyes can compress well. In this way, apply both towels to the eyes and face once and at the end use a towel of cold water. #### Full Face Massage - Soak a towel in warm water. Put it on your face and rub the nose and neck and flatten it nicely on the cheek but keep the eyes intact. After this, massage the forehead and closed eyes with fingers. #### Massage the eyelids - Close your eyes and turn your fingers lightly into the roundness of the eyes, do this for 1 to 2 minutes. Keep the eyes closed lightly for 1 to 2 seconds and then leave, repeat this process 5 times. 4) sit and relax. Rotate your eye clockwise and then anti-clockwise. Repeat this process 5 times, every time after doing it move the eyelids. 5) Keep an eye on something kept away for 10 to 15 seconds (which is 150 feet high or 50 meters away). After that, move your eyes slowly to another place and look at the nearest thing (which is less than 30 feet and 10 meters away), during this time your head should not spin. After that, go back to the previous object again and look for 10 to 15 seconds and come back to the short distance object. Thus, repeat this process 5 times but remember not to rotate the head. 6) Hold a pencil at a distance of your hand. Slowly extend your hand towards the nose. Keep your gaze on the tip of the pencil until you are unable to see its tip due to the short distance. Do not turn your head. There is a lot of difficulty in doing this for the first time, but after trying and after practicing twice, you will enjoy this work. The more words you write, the better it will be on the eyes. 8) Turn the eyes up and then from top to bottom. Do this at least 8 times and then do the same process 8 times from left to right and right to left. But keep in mind that during this exercise, the eyes do not go in any other direction or else your eyesight will be worse than good. *** ### Thanks
