Gaps are areas on a chart where the price of an underlying commodity moves sharply up or down, with little or no trading in between. As a result, the asset's chart shows a "gap" in the normal price pattern which is hardly visible. If a trader can interpret it then he can exploit these gaps for profit. Gaps can occurred due to various factors such which can effect the price. We know about the ETF debate last week that made the price moved sharply while it was hovering over $900-$1000 but the news rapidly increased the process to above $1200 in two days. This is where the story began there was less or very short term trading occur between $1000-$1150 and people were optimistic of bitcoin being approved as ETF. Thus people weren't willing to buy bitcoin at $1000+ but with seeing increasing prices they saw profits and suddenly bidding higher prices taking price to sky rocket to $1250. Suddenly the price drops after ETF news with in 4 days prices were back to $950-$1000 (it's original price) In easy words a Gap is defined for eg The highest bitcoin buying order is $1000 and the next $1010 The difference represents the gap. Which we know happened last week which make price so volatile that investors moved to etherum and dash ![BreakawayGap.gif](https://steemitimages.com/DQmSesn9HupAax224njphARD7NgQSQWSvBkcS11mhsf2NmU/BreakawayGap.gif) Source : Image by investopedia website.

Good points in this blog. Interesting to see I'm not the only one that is thinking about this. The blockchain is here to stay. No matter what any crypto will do in the upcoming years. I think that's a conclusion we can make by now. This is quite an interesting website I found: https://www.coincheckup.com The site is my go to place for crypto investment analaysis and indepth coin research. Check for example: https://www.coincheckup.com/coins/Bitcoin#analysis For the Bitcoin Report
