I went to Nyama Mama in Yaya Centre with a bunch of Kenyan food & drink bloggers. This was a few months back. They had just opened their first branch in Kenya. This is a restaurant that serves authentic Kenyan cuisine with a twist. For example, in Kenya we have *ugali* which is a dish made with maize/corn flour and water. They added a twist and made some ugali fries. The chefs must be very creative to come up with this menu. They also have amazing cocktails all served on metal cups that we find at our grandmother's houses. Way to bring authenticity and uniqueness in cocktail presentation. # PICTORIAL ## Photos by @njoromuts !(https://steemitimages.com/DQmPfVrxTjuTo6u2jB1a3Qi2tocgQP1VYzhRs6cqwiMENCg/image.png) *Beef chapati quesadillas. Kenyans love chapati & beef and this was a great way to revamp how we are used to making the two* !(https://steemitimages.com/DQmTnWMRHCpdwkV3Lo2d9uaSnuKYZM1d23NgnCyoiPNzfVS/image.png) *Bloggers being bloggers* !(https://steemitimages.com/DQmNmNdqgtuTSpAwSeDTepcubD6N27oLEsfzcesspCLh8Wu/image.png) *Ugali fries with garlic sauce. This was so delicious and frying the ugali gave it a crunchy taste. The garlic sauce went well with the fries.* !(https://steemitimages.com/DQmZjr6BtaegCXmJMVboQ5783SV6Q9gyuV5qqZUXtdYrKPW/image.png) *Cheers* !(https://steemitimages.com/DQmWoKB1DnWwyHpqpQ69uWMeFPn4GHWGpUu3f2MV7E1oBSe/image.png) *These wings were so spicy and delicious and they used organic free-range chicken* !(https://steemitimages.com/DQmUR8kV117EF7TRXUAcBKQcriu1ZM1RZHrWD7eXgCksXbN/image.png) > New York style cheesecake with blueberry compote and white chocolate shavings. As you can see, we had quite the feast. We had so much fun and ate so much. That last cheesecake was the cherry on top and a perfect way to end a menu tasting.
