A marriage is a much more serious endeavor than a sexual affair.  A man, as well as a woman, must consider a great array of qualities, that will ensure long-lasting union such as compatibility of political, religious, cultural, ethical and esthetical views, financial, intellectual, health and ethnic considerations and so on.  Sexual considerations are also important, but they are not paramount.  

At the same time mean and women could have had some sexual experiences in their past that they cherish in their memory as an apology for their sexual excitement and pleasure.  But they are only what they are -  the memories. :)
