[일상] 악재의 연속 인텔
피씨용 CPU 1등 업체인 인텔에 악재가 계속 나옵니다. 그동안 성능면에서 경쟁이 되지 않았던 AMD가 화려하게 부활하면서 피씨용 CPU 점유율이 많이 떨어졌습니다. 
그 와중에 인텔 CPU를 사용하면 애플 맥북에서 자사 CPU 로 대체를 하였는데, 성능이 더 좋다는 이야기가 나오고 있습니다.

오늘 뉴스를 보니 MS가 서버용 프로세서를 자체 개발 착수했다고 합니다.

서버용 CPU인 제온은 인텔의 캐쉬카우인데요. 대안이 없기 때문에 아주 고가에 팔리고 있었죠. 데이터 센터, 클라우드 서버 증가로 그야말로 호황이었습니다. 이렇게 좋은 독점 시장에 MS가 도전을 던진것입니다. 물론 당장 시장 점유율이 줄어들지는 않겠지만, 인텔에게는 악재임에 틀림없습니다.

인텔은 그동안 다양한 시도를 해 왔습니다만, 거의 실패했죠. 최근에 플래쉬메모리 사업도 하이닉스에 판매를 했습니다. 앞으로 인텔이 어떤 시장에 신규로 진출해서 시장 점유율을 올릴 수 있을지 지켜봐야할 것 같습니다.

인텔이 자율주행쪽으로 연구를 하고 있다던데 그건 어찌되고 있는지 모르겠습니다.
