[일상] 소변검사로 암 진단
소변으로 암을 진단할 수 있다면 아주 좋겠죠. 이런 꿈의 기술들이 곧 나올 것 같습니다. 여기에서 곧이란 최소 10년을 의미하기는 합니다.


> 한국과학기술연구원(KIST) 생체재료연구센터 이관희 박사팀은 24일 서울아산병원 정인갑 교수팀 초고감도센서와 인공지능(AI)을 활용해 소변 검사로 전립선암을 20분 안에 현장에서 95% 이상의 정확도로 진단하는 기술을 개발했다.

여기에 언급되는 초고감도센서가 어떤 것인지 궁금한데요.  결국 센서가 좋아야 진단의 정확도도 올라갈테니까요. 기사 내용을 보면 전립선암 환자가 보유하고 있는 PSA라고 하는 전립선 특이항원을 검출한다고 합니다. 아마 이번에 개발한 센서는 이런 특이항원을 검출하는 센서로 보입니다.

혹시 이런 기술이 다른 암을 검출할 때도 사용할 수 있다면 정말 획기적일 것 같습니다. 암환자와 정상인의 혈액에는 분명이 어떤 차이가 존재할 것입니다. 이러한 차이를 자~~알~~  검출할 수 있는 초고성능 스마트 센서를 개발한다면 그야말로 대박 기술이 될 것 같습니다.
