Many prospective writers complain because their writings are always rejected by some media. This is a classic complaint among writers. Usually, complaints like this arise from novice writers who only five or 10 times send their work to the mass media.

However, there are also writers who have given birth to a number of books and won several writing competitions in Indonesia with famous literary judges, still complaining that their writings were rejected by the media despite sending dozens of times.

I also read the works that were displayed in the mass media, both print and electronic and compared with the works of the authors mentioned. In my conclusion, some of the writer's works are indeed worthy of airing. Some of them are **better** compared to the works that have been shown.

**Better** I deliberately write in bold because I need more explanation about the size in a literary work, both poetry and prose. In addition, **better** also has the meaning of subjectivity which can be different from the judgment of many people.

Although there are certain measurements, the element of subjectivity cannot be avoided. So, never judge yourself not gifted in writing when there are works that are rejected. Rejected is not always related to quality, it could be because it does not fit into the vision and mission of the media concerned or does not fit the tastes of the editor or curator of literature.

We must not depend on the ours future of the tastes of one or two editors. Their refusal is not a measure of whether we are talented or not, nor is it the only measure of our quality or not.

Many senior writers still get rejections from various mass media. That’s not the article is not good or low quality, but sometimes it's just a matter of taste and does not match the vision of the media. The difference is, senior writers continue to write even though the editor rejects his work. Rejection is not a reason to stop writing and send articles to the mass media.

Each work will find a match for mass media, with publishers, and with readers. Maybe not now, it could be his soul mate will meet in the future. The important thing is never to stop to continue to search, explore, and evaluate. That's what great writers do, so we have to do to be great.[]
