Greetings to all :) I would like to congratulate all women on the already held International Women's Day. Usually on this day, men congratulate their beloved women: mothers, grandmothers, daughters and wives. I am a person with long-standing traditions and have not stood aside today. **Also, I congratulate all steemit women on a wonderful holiday on March 8th. Continue to be the same beautiful and delight your men! You are the best!** Also, I decided to dedicate this post to the @dmitrik contest. Hopefully this post will fit the requirement of your competition? However, let's delve into history and remember how the celebration of March 8 began.

International Women's Day is based on National Women's Day on February 28, 1908. On that distant day, textile workers in New York went on strike demanding better working conditions. However, according to other sources, the origins of the movement originate in March 8, 1857, also in New York. Women also demanded better working conditions and higher wages.

The initiator of the holiday on March 8, 1910 was the well-known Clara Zetkin during the Second International Conference of Socialists held in Copenhagen. The following year, March 19 marked the first International Women's Day with over a million people in attendance. It can be said from that moment on, women from various countries joined the world movement. Officially, the United Nations began holding International Women's Day on March 8, starting in 1975.

Nowadays it has become a tradition among men to congratulate women on this day. However, among different sectors of society, this is considered unacceptable. For example, some feminists consider traditional "flowers" unacceptable and recognize March 8 as a holiday of liberation from patriarchy. One way or another, I personally, congratulations  my beloved women on a wonderful international women's day!
