Ma torniamo a noi,  oggi andremo a parlare sul come rinvasare le sarracenie, dando prima qualche linea giuda generale fino ad arrivare all'atto pratico. Vi lascio al post, buona lettura!***

But back to us, today we're going to talk about how to repot the sarracenias, first giving some general guide lines up to the practical act. I leave you to the post, happy reading!*

***Incominciamo dicendo le linee giuda generali per un buon rinvaso. Innanzitutto il periodo, il periodo influenza molto i rinvasi, dato che un rinvaso eseguito in inverno quando la pianta non vegeta tenderà a stressarla molto meno. Il periodo ideale per eseguire i rinvasi è da metà gennaio fino a fine febbraio, in questo periodo avrete la certezza che le piante siano a riposo, per chi vive in delle regioni fredde i rinvasi possono anche essere svolti fino alla fine di marzo.  Un altro fattore molto importante per un corretto rinvaso è il terreno. Le nostre amate sarracenie non crescono in del terriccio normale, ma bensì su suoli acidi-torbosi. Il terreno deve essere composto da della torba acida di sfagno assolutamente SENZA FERTILIZZANTI e della perlite per ossigenare il tutto. le quantità di questi due materiali variano a seconda del coltivatore, molti coltivatori coltivano anche in 100% torba, altri in diversi mix, tuttavia, solitamente si consiglia un 50% di torba e 50% perlite.  Resta  un importante ultimo passaggio, la scelta del vaso. Il vaso ideale per le sarracenie deve essere di plastica bianco, in modo tale da riflettere la luce solare e quindi non scaldarsi troppo, inioltre deve essere profondo attorno ai 13-15 cm, dato che le sarracenie, se ben coltivate, hanno un apparato radicale molto esteso.***

Another very important factor for a correct repotting is the soil. Our beloved sarracenias do not grow in normal soil, but on acid-peaty soils. The soil must be composed of acid sphagnum peat absolutely WITHOUT FERTILIZERS and perlite to oxygenate everything. the quantities of these two materials vary according to the grower, many growers also grow in 100% peat, others in different mixes, however, 50% peat and 50% perlite are usually recommended. An important last step remains, the choice of the vase. The ideal pot for sarracenias must be made of white plastic, in order to reflect sunlight and therefore not to get too hot, moreover it must be deep around 13-15 cm, since sarracenias, if well cultivated, have a root system very extensive.*

***Arriviamo dunque all'atto pratico, prendete il vaso dove è presente la vostra sarracenia e capovolgetelo, così facendo dovrebbe rimanervi in una mano il panetto di terra insieme alla pianta e nell'altra il vaso ormai vuoto. Con molta calma incominciate a rompere il panetto di torba avvolto dalle radici, fate molta attenzione a non rompere le radici. Nella primissima foto del post potete vedere il risultato che dovreste ottenere. Una volta rimosso tutto il panetto di torba vecchia, mescoliamo in una bacinella il nostro substrato , ovvero torba e perlite. La torba impiega molto tempo ad idratarsi correttamente, per questo motivo è necessario inumidire la torba prima dell'utilizzo. Una volta inumidita la torba mescoliamola con della perlite e in seguito incominciamo a riempire il vaso. Fate molta attenzione dato che la terra che mettete nel vaso non deve essere pressata, dato che più la si presserà e meno ossigeno passerà nel terreno. Proprio per questo motivo, io non presso mai la torba, mi limito a sbattere il vaso su un piano rigido per fare compattare un minimo il suolo.  Dato l'esteso apparato radicale delle sarrcacenie non si possono inserire nel vaso  facendo il classico buchetto con il dito, bisogna riempire il vaso di torba verso il fondo, una volta riempito il fondo inserite la pianta e continuate a mettere il substrato sopra le radici e il rizoma. Il rizoma consiglio di coprirlo di almeno 1-2 cm di torba. 
Una volta terminato il rinvaso sciacquate abbondantemente la sarracenia con acqua demineralizzata pulendo le proprie foglie dalla terra. Fate attenzione il primo mese alle folate di vento, dato che le radici non sono ancora perfettamente ancorate al terreno e il vento rischia di buttarvi giù la pianta.***

Peat takes a long time to hydrate properly, which is why it is necessary to moisten the peat before use. Once the peat is moistened, mix it with perlite and then begin to fill the pot. Be very careful as the earth you put in the jar should not be pressed, since the more you press it, the less oxygen will pass into the soil. Precisely for this reason, I never go to peat, I just hit the pot on a rigid surface to make the soil compact at a minimum. Given the extensive root system of the sarrcacenias, they cannot be inserted into the pot by making the classic little hole with your finger, you must fill the peat pot towards the bottom, once the bottom is filled, insert the plant and continue to put the substrate over the roots and the rhizome. The rhizome I recommend covering it with at least 1-2 cm of peat.
Once the repotting is finished, rinse the sarracenia abundantly with demineralized water by cleaning the leaves from the earth. Beware of gusts of wind the first month, as the roots are not yet perfectly anchored to the ground and the wind is likely to knock the plant down.*

***Il passaggio più importante del rinvaso è probabilmente il controllo della salute dell propria pianta. Di fatti, è possibile svolgere questo controllo solo quando la pianta è a radice nuda, dato che il rizoma e le radici normalmente sono sotto il substrato. Un rizoma in salute deve avere un punto di crescita bello bianco e molto duro. Non spaventatevi se nelle vostre piante vedete una parte di rizoma di colore marroncina-rossiccia, è la parte vecchia del rizoma che viene definita come rizoma cieco. Sul rizoma inoltre si annidano tutti i principali parassiti di cui soffrono queste piante, in particolare la cocciniglia. Sul fondo del rizoma, nel punto di crescita (parte bianca del rizoma) consiglio vivamente di passare uno spazzolino da denti, dato che potrebbero esserci delle uova di parassiti, in questo modo riuscirete a togliere l'intera colonia. Passiamo ora al controllo delle radici. Incominciamo col dire che le radici assumono diverse colorazioni, le radici più anziane tendono ad un colore marroncino, mentre quelle più giovani ad un colore bianco. le radici devono avere numerosi peli sensitivi per essere in salute. Le radici sono soggette ad attacchi funginei, date quindi una bella occhiata che non abbiano strane muffe e che non si presentino di un colore nero. Vi lascio di seguito due foto, una di un rizoma di sarracenia e un'altra sulle radici, in questo modo potete capire come devono essere per essere in salute.***

A healthy rhizome must have a beautiful white and very hard growth point. On the rhizome also nest all the main parasites from which these plants suffer, in particular the cochineal. On the bottom of the rhizome, at the point of growth (white part of the rhizome) I strongly recommend to pass a toothbrush, since there could be parasite eggs, in this way you will be able to remove the entire colony. Let us now turn to root control. Let's start by saying that the roots take on different colors, the older roots tend to a brownish color, while the younger ones to a white color. the roots must have numerous sensory hairs to be healthy. The roots are subject to fungal attack, therefore take a good look that do not have strange molds and that they do not have a black color. I leave you two photos below, one of a rhizome of sarracenia and another on the roots, in this way you can understand how they must be to be healthy.*
