I absolutely love liver pates - you know you could just cut to the chase, buy some chicken or beef livers - par boil them in water - or milk accofding to some anecdotal folklore i've read - and then pan fry them and some onions and garlic - some port or other red - puree - voila - and much cheaper. Salt and pepper obvs, maybe some othet spices the internet would provide

Yes, I was thinking about that. It is a little pricey, but I dont care a lot about how much I spend on food. The benefit to making my own pate would be the control over ingredients. I might do it in the future, but do in bulk, like a month's worth of supply and refrigerate it. Thanks for engaging!

That might be a good idea - although I wonder how well it freezes - i guess they seem to store well commercially so probably pretty well at home too.

I wouldnt freeze, I'd just store it in the fridge at a cool temperature :)
