So as far as I know about this case is that Amber Gyger thought she went home to her apartment, but it was not her apartment, then she seen a guy there eating ice cream. Well, he was in his own apartment, but she thought he was in her apartment. She shot and killed him. Well, anyway she has to go to prison for murder. The brother hugs her and forgives her after the trial. I think some people didn't like it that he gave her a hug and forgave her, but he is doing what Jesus said to do concerning forgiveness. He was doing what the scriptures said, as it is written, with Jesus speaking, But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:15. This is a very powerful scripture as if we do not forgive, then our Father will not forgive us. If this happens then we stand with no forgiveness of the Father, we are on our own. That would be a very scary place to be. We do have to remember that even Jesus forgave them that put him on the cross. As it is written, Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. Luke 23:34. That reminds me of another scripture, as it is written, Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:12. In the book of Acts we do have another example of forgiveness with Stephen forgiving them that stoned him. As it is written, And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. Acts 7:60. Remember when they killed James, brother to John? As it is written, And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. Acts 12:2. I would imagine that John would have to had forgiven them that killed his brother as he was an Apostle of Jesus and would do the teachings of Jesus. That reminds me of another scripture, as it is written, with Jesus speaking, And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Luke 6:46. I have seen hell testimony videos of people that died for a bit and seen hell. They say there are lot of people there that could not forgive. Do a search on "hell testimony unforgiveness" and check out some of those videos. I was telling my mom today that it is so clear that when Jesus said, But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:15. We cannot stand on our own without the forgiveness of our Father. Jesus did say, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. Luke 13:24. A lot of people won't be able to make it in and one of those things will be for unforgiveness. We do have to pick up our cross and follow Jesus. As it is written, Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. Matthew 16:24. Let's end with a scripture, with Jesus speaking, But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. Luke 12:5. If you enjoyed this blog, please upvote and follow. Thank you, David. Image is from pixabay.com.
