How to Be a Better Friend
Are you looking for tips to make being a friend easier? There are many things to consider when making friends. First and foremost, the friends that we have become best friends with are those that treat us well and try to understand us. It is important that we treat our best friends like we would treat our best family member. When we treat others the way that we wish they would treat us, we become a better person for it.
One important thing that you can do when trying to be a better friend is to be a good friend to yourself. Everyone wants to cancel dates at the last minute just so they can go home and have fast food and trashy TV instead of having a good time with their friends, right? So why do people do that? It is important that you have a good self esteem, because in turn, you will gain great respect for yourself. Always remember that your opinion is just as important as how you say it. By making sure that you even if all your friends blow your friend's birthday party plans, you still show up.

Sending friendship gifts is also another great way to make time with your friends. The best way to do this is through email. Email is the most private form of communication available. When you send an email to another person, they only see your name and your screen name for the duration of the email.

Another important thing to do when trying to make time for friendships is to always be respectful. Sometimes, we get into arguments about things that we should not have. So, what is the answer? It is simple, be respectful! It is one of the best ways to show how you care about your friends.

Now, back to our social media. Yes, some of your friends may seem to have abandoned you, but you must remember that not everyone does. You can make the effort to stay in contact with them, even if it is just to make sure they are alright. Try to remember that it was probably some time ago when you first befriended someone.

It is important that we keep in touch with those who have become a good friend. There are other things in life that we need to do to survive, but our friendships are something we can always hold on to. So, why not use social media to keep in touch with good friends? And yes, we can still be friends even if there are differences.

Be a better friend, even if they do not accept you the way you are now. If you find a long-lost good friend via email after months of not talking, what will you do? You can send small token emails to let them know you still care and that you miss them. This is much better than waiting until you can meet face to face or through personal calls.

Being a better person is not about making yourself perfect, although this may sound like the most important thing. However, it is more about treating others the way you want to be treated, no matter how you may feel about yourself at times. And believe me, your friends will appreciate you more for the kindness that you show them.

Being a better friend means you are willing to walk the line between being compassionate and being harsh. It means you understand that there are things you say and do that can hurt someone's feelings. And yes, being a good friend does mean saying and doing those things that can get you in trouble with someone. That is what being a good friend is all about, keeping your cool. But when you are in a good place within yourself, those things are unnecessary.

When you are trying to make a friendship, you should take note that some of your actions can actually push your friend away from you. For instance, being a better friend means showing gratitude once in a while. If you send an email that is full of gratitude, it may seem like you are just trying to show gratitude for nothing. However, if you do this more often, it can cause someone to see you in a different light and develop a positive attitude toward you.
Being a better friend also means that you understand that friendships do not last forever. I have had many friends that I have had for more than 10 years. Even after spending so much time with them, I realize they are not as close as they used to be. However, when I try to make time for them, I find that they do want to spend time with me. And it makes me very happy. My friends deserve more than what they are getting from me, but if I show them appreciation for who I am, I know they will reciprocate and become even closer to me in time.
