I appreciate long walks home It's rare that I really get a chance to clear my mind. I like walking mediation more than sitting meditation. Sometimes my phone will run out of battery and I'll be forced to do a walking meditation At first I'll have lots of thoughts but I'll walk with the intention of being aware of my surroundings . I do so for a few seconds and it's cool for a bit and then I get pulled back into some thoughts of future or past and so I'll try and focus again. It goes back and forth like this for a while until at some point I feel the magic of my five senses and a portal opens up. Everything is perfect! Every moment is perfect! It can be hard to feel it sometimes but those walks make it so much easier. Once I find that sweet spot I find myself in the zone for hours or even weeks at a time. I've got to remember to enjoy these kinds of walks more to stay at my best!
