Wow, didn't realize there was such a crackdown.  I've only used them in the past to get the work in front of an audience, and no more than 2 bots at no more than 2 Steem spent for any one post.  This post, I used 1.  It's a good thing that they are being discouraged,... my only concern is that without them, I would receive about 1 or 2 dollars a post and be seen by 92 followers and a few others that happen onto it.  Better than the 12 cents a post I started with, but..... However, in order to help the community, I will refrain from bot use.
