For the last couple of days I have had a touch of a flu. No congestion just aches, pains and a lot of sleep. Sleeping all night waking up for a few hours then sleep most of the day. After sleeping the night and most of the day yesterday I woke up feeling great! It had finally past, then I looked out the window and saw snow. Oh great finally feeling better and we get our first winter storm! The initial blah feeling about the snow faded away as I had a coffee and even more so after watching all the people on social media moan and groan about it. I started to remember how much fun can be had in the winter and then started to think about all of the photo opportunities that there is in the winter. I have said it before and I will say it again now lol I am a photography addict! So an hour after thinking about that, I was standing on the edge of the Niagara escarpment in the middle of the snow storm taking shots of the downtown skyline in Hamilton Ont. (what you can see of the skyline lol) ![IMG_9396.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQX2PDBt2dgVr4xEaK8axiee3iGBC1BWXabgAc19qxkyq/IMG_9396.jpg) Being battered by the snow and also unable to get many shots because of snow landing on the lens. I called it quits and decided to come back out in the morning once the storm had ended. I hit the trails this morning at 6 a.m. and within minutes found myself in a winter wonderland! There really is something spectacularly beautiful about nature and tress with a good solid layer of snow on them! ![IMG_9567.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmVXgbKbqsEVeF1MDEghq6n1sK2mz4qMrScL12GiGKobJ2/IMG_9567.jpg) ![IMG_9555.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmVuWWnHnWiDgGF3gFxJjX7ANjXCvjTExFEkKUcajMHv7t/IMG_9555.jpg) ![IMG_9582.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmb8UK1AHqxfxreh9fJpn9ZvLgXAG2APv74HEbrSYS7NS2/IMG_9582.jpg) If you are in an area of the world that gets winter, don't take it for granted and just see it as a headache. Get out and enjoy the beauty and fun of it! It is more than worth it.
