**Witness**

You are still a vessel of memories for me you know.
This is what I miss the most:
filling your pot as mine
and dipping in now and then
to taste a morsel

I've placed you crudely among others of your ilk,
my witnesses,
another abandoned craft in the back field
home to spiders and rabbits and an occasional snake.
I pass you daily with my dogs, 
master myself now,
and wonder if you are still
water worthy
or well

And I wonder too
if your knife was sharp
when you carved a place
to put me

I've always liked this one of mine from back in the day. Thank you for reading it.

The image is mine, of a bouquet my daughters gave me one opening night. After it had faded and dried and was making a mess on my kitchen table, I decorated my compost pile with it.

Thank you for your kind words, and your upvote which is far larger than mine.
How do I go about posting with esteem? Steempeak has been quite persnickety of late, but it has a bunch of features I like.

You have to download it to your laptop with an exe file or your phone with whatever that is. They have a discord and the links are there in the help somewhere. I can invite you if you are on discord. I'm fitinfun there too. 

Then you just load it and post. I use it from my laptop and have it in my programs. I also use esteem as one of my tags. I do not know if that is necessary, but it helps me to keep track so I only use them each 24 hours.
