So, my favourite beer is Guinness, probably because I am a walking stereotype (red haired Irish guy who likes to drink). Anyway. Since I find myself living in the UK, it is quite hard to find a good pint of Guinness. UK barmen, unlike Irish ones, are not really trained in how to poor a good pint of the black stuff. And just to compound this problem, often the gas mix they use to pour is wrong (too much, or just entirely CO2, whereas it should be nitrogen rich...).
Inspired by @eroche hunting down a good pint of Guinness in Dublin, I decided to do the same in the UK. And the other night I came across a pub, The Lord Clifden in Birmingham's historic Jewellery Quarter, that serves an amazing pint.
It was rich, creamy, smooth, took the right amount of time to settle, and cost £4.20. It was far superior to the pints I have had in most other bars in the area that serve Guinness, so without further ado, here is a photo of the stuff:
The bar has a wonderful beer ga
I lived in Amsterdam for twenty years.
The city has grown to be very tourist orientated.
Where a Dutchman became a rarity.
What you not should do in Amsterdam:
Buy drugs from the street, bad quality and expensive
Go out late, bars close early and there are not a lot of night spots
Be to drunk, you don't get served
Central station closes of at night so that is not a good spot
Take a taxi which is very expensive
Not so exciting as it's cracked out to be, but still a beautiful city with a lot to offer besides bars, coffeeshops and the red light district.
When visiting Vietnam, i like to go out to the bars and clubs in the evening.
In Nha Thrang:
the good supply is limited to; the sailors club, why not bar, Wave bar, Louisiana and booze cruise.
There are three decent clubs, Zika, Havana and the lodge.
Plus two good sky bars at the top of large hotel builings like liberty.
You have to love our Russian friends and the prices are accordingly.
I could only discover a small street with bars and clubs surrounding Prague bar and Tom's bar.
Is more lively and has an evening program.
Where you end up after 12 o'clock in either the Tiger 2, Sky bar or the Why not bar.
Before that the night life is fully alive every day in Tiger 1 after 10:30 or the bars beside Tiger 1
