Dream Journal: Getting harassed at a beach house by law enforcement
I dream frequently. My dreams rarely make any sense in relation to my real life and also rarely feature people that I actually have thought about in a while. They say that it isn't possible to dream of anyone that you have never seen, but for the most part when I do wake up I do not recall having people in my dreams that I have actually interacted with recently. Last night I had a strange dream that featured a group of 4 friends that were at a beach house and had a run in with the "fuzz" who were harassing us endlessly trying to pin some sort of crime on us. I actually do have some sort of reasoning for why I would dream of this.

Oddly, this image was one of the first ones that popped up when searching for "harassed by policewomen" and one of the officers in my dream looked almost exactly like this </center>

So I suppose I should first address why it was that I dreamt of being harassed by a police **woman**. This might come across as a bit sexist but personally and in my experience, I feel as though policewomen have a greater chance of being the ones that are going to abuse their power. Why this happens probably comes down to a variety of reasons, but of all the times I have been approached by law enforcement in my real life, when they were women, they were far more "hardcore" about it than the men were. This could come from them feeling as though they have to be more serious and in order to prove their authority. There is a theory that many people who pursue law enforcement do so because they felt that they never had power in their own lives and I think there is something to that theory.

In one instance in my life I was traveling to Australia and was intercepted, for reasons I can't imagine, by customs upon entering Brisbane international airport. The woman who was charged with going through my one bag was absolutely brutal. She showed zero respect for my personal belongings and had a passive aggressive method behind every word that she said to me. She was younger than me, and seemed to get a great deal of joy in treating me like a lessor person. All the while that she was questioning me and treating my belongings like they were garbage, she had 2 absolutely massive men behind her that were wearing what appeared to be riot gear standing behind her and I suppose this was to add some credibility to her authority. Later on in this same trip I had a similar situation occur to me while I was on a train to an NRL game and didn't have a ticket for the train. I didn't have a ticket because the gates to the train were wide open and there was ZERO indication at the train station as to how one might acquire a ticket for said train. I wasn't trying to freeload, I simply couldn't figure out how to get a ticket. I presumed that since there were no gates and no vending machines or ticket windows, that one would pay for a ticket on the train.

you just walk straight in here, there nothing stopping you from doing so </center>

Well as it turns out you are meant to acquire a ticket for the train either online or by buying them at a minimart near the train station. How the hell we are meant to know that is anyone's guess, but once again I was approached by a very aggressive woman with 2 gigantic men in tow who treated me like trash the entire time she talked to me.

The women law enforcement in my dream were the same way. They proceeded to attempt to violate my rights at every turn and had to be reminded that they can't do that on a regular basis. They opened doors, bags, and cars without having the permission necessary to do so. The thing is that me and my friends who were at this beach house hadn't actually done anything wrong. Despite having not done anything wrong, I still do not like the idea of people just going through all of my stuff in the vain attempt to try to pin something on me. So in the dream, I was problematic in the eyes of the officers who really took a dislike to me very quickly.

At one point there was a fireworks machine of sorts that looked like a bazooka and the officers attempted to suggest that this was an illegal weapon. Why that was in there comes from a distant memory I had as a child where I actually did have something that was exactly that. It was a roman candle holder, shaped like an RPG mechanism, that was a really stupid thing to sell because it only encouraged kids to launch fireworks at one another and guess what? That is exactly what we did with it.

Back to the dream: These women stuck around for ages, going so far as to look in the garage refrigerators and see beer in there, then question if any of us had been drink driving. I recall responding that "I am an adult and I am allowed to have alcohol in my refrigerator, am I not?" They also found a few old mobile phones in a closet and one of them accused me of having "burner phones" and was therefore a drug dealer. They never got anywhere with this but I also know why these would appear in my dream. I have in my house right now, two old mobile phones that I do not use and I honestly have no idea why I hang onto them. I am not going to ever use them again but this is one of those things, kind of like the clichรฉ about men hanging onto every AC adaptor and cord they have ever acquired because it just seems "wrong" to throw them out. Plus, as soon as you throw it out you are going to need it. I'm not sure why this happens but it simply does.

You hang onto the blue one in the above picture because we are convinced that CRT monitors are going to make a comeback any day now.

So in the dream my 3 friends were useless as far as helping out interacting with the officers and the officers, every time it seemed like they were about to take off and leave us in peace, would find another thing they needed to search even though I continually reminded them that they don't have a warrant and therefore are not allowed to search anything.

If there is one thing I remember about law enforcement, it is that they really don't like it when you remind them that they have limitations on your property, not the other way around, so therefore they just started to "drag their feet" even more. Just like in real life, the police officers were passive aggressive the entire time, and stuck around well beyond their welcome until eventually I kicked them out of the house. At that point they let me know that they would be checking back in on me from time to time.

Abuse of power on the part of law enforcement is something that seriously bothers me and is a big part of the reason why I chose to stop living in the USA many years ago. You see, and I will detail this with a post later on, I actually WAS law-enforcement as my last job before I exited the United States permanently and while I was not one of the people that did abuse their power, I was surrounded by people that were drunk with power on a daily basis. They would gather around the water cooler and coffee station daily to joke around about what they were able to make people do every single day. They seemed to get a kick out of abusing people and while I was not one of them, I had a crisis of conscious because I was simply affiliated with them.

In Thailand and Vietnam, my interaction with police has been very limited but it has the potential to be far worse than it is in America since the police in both countries get to do basically whatever they want. It is by virtue of lack of money available for funding that the populace in both countries aren't simply living under authoritarian rule. Since the police have very little money, you rarely even see them and they don't really bother with enforcement of anything (or so it appears) unless there is some side money to be made on their own part. In a way I think this kind of works because while they are corrupt to the core, there are so few of them that they are almost never a part of your life, and if they are, you can get them to go away for something like $50-$100.

So what do the experts have to say about dreaming about law enforcement harassing you?

> To dream of the police in relation to drugs, or drug trafficking can indicate that you have an addiction for something in life.

Sure, once again this one-size-fits-all approach is the horoscope of the MD world

> When the police are attempting to arrest you for a crime which you are not guilty of then this is a positive dream that you will win against the competition.

Basically the same thing I just said. This is why I don't believe in psychology. I suppose they have to say something.

> Freud stated that cops certainly are a super-ego image, which represents taboos arising out of your childhood.

huh?

One particularly stupid interpretation that I read said that the presence of police in your home in a dream means that this is a sign of good health and prosperity on the horizon for either you or someone close to you. This one sounds the most like hokum to me

<hr>

Well anyway, last night's dream was one of the more frustrating dreams that I have had in a while and I woke up a bit angry because of it. I suppose you could say that personally, I think I had this dream perhaps as a reminder about how I quite enjoy living in a country where we are not being constantly monitored, or if we are, they do it in such a remarkably covert way that we don't even realize it is there. I say this often but I still can't believe it is true but I had to move to a Communist country in order to experience real freedom.

Believe it or not, these guys are actually OK </center>

I have only dealt with police officers ONCE the entire time I have lived here and that was when I intentionally overstayed my visa by over a year. I knew they would come one day and when they did, they were polite and to the point. They took their shoes off before entering my house and at no point in time did they have a passive aggressive way of dealing with me. Perhaps this was because they were aware of the fact that they were about to hit paydirt with a massive bribe, which they eventually did receive. Well done boys and girls in green!

I hope that if you have dreams that you are able to remember them as vividly as I do because it is actually quite a lot of fun to try to figure out what is going on in this brain of mine. If you have any dreams you would like to share I'd like to hear about it in the comments!

I think itโ€™s a fair question to wonder if thereโ€™s some kind of general, systems level fact at work here.

* The human brain contains approximately 86 billion neurons.
* The Milky Way is estimated to contain about 200 billion stars.
* The observable universe has 200 billion galaxies.
* Apple's M3 Max chip has 97 billion transistors.

> Is it a coincidence that these numbers are within the same order of magnitude, or does it say something about the evolution of complex systems?

But I think actually in this case itโ€™s a false issue.

There were times when computer ships and fewer circuit elements and there will be times when they have more. So itโ€™s just happens that you pick a moment in time and that is similar to the number of human neurons. It just becomes a matter of looking for any other numbers in science, that have to do with skill systems and aligning them. In this case, I donโ€™t even think the choices are a good candidate because the causal interactions concerning astronomical scale seem very unrelated to the type of things that are happening in computer chips and neurons.

There is one very vague, sort of way theyโ€™re related. It has to do with the scale at which forces operate, and therefore perhaps naturally learn themselves to a particular scale of reductionism. The number of neurons in the human brain is related to how big a cell has to be, which is related to how big a molecule has to be, which is related to , the strong nuclear force, the weak nuclear force, and some facts about electrons. Whereas the maximum number of neurons is related to the size of a human being, which also has to do with the same underlying facts which determine the scale of biological organisms (where gravity also matters).

There is a similar relationship between subatomic facts and how big a star can be. Furthermore, the scale of galaxies and bigger aspects of the universe has to do with the speed of causal propagation of gravity, and that is the speed of light, and also contributes to how fast chemistry is and how well or not a brain of a certain size can work.

But Marvel at this set of relationships, if you really dig into it and show all the specifics, seems to be not particularly interesting and so far as if you have people and galaxies that know thereโ€™s going to be some relationship or other. I suppose the issue is whether when you tweak a bunch of things about the universe as it turned out all that is fine tuned or not.

Dream Journal: I am a very polite criminal with a conscious
So it's been an unusual past couple of days. I had a period of time there where I didn't dream or at least didn't remember any of what happened when I did. On one of the nights I'm pretty sure I didn't dream at all but another day I dreamt so HARD that when I woke up it took me a while to remember where I am in the world and was relieved when I finally figured out that I was in my bed in Vietnam.

Then we didn't have anything happen for a few days as far as my evening feature presentations are concerned. For most people, not dreaming or not remembering their dreams is their normal life but for me having very vivid dreams is a regular part of my life and something that I look forward to each night. It is actually quite unusual for me to NOT dream.

[src](https://mindowl.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/AdobeStock_284296176.jpg)</center>

So last night the dream is a bit fuzzy as far as the overall theme was. Normally my dreams have some sort of objective almost like a movie but this one was pretty random other than one particular element that stuck with me. I was a criminal that was robbing people, people that I know, and wasn't really threatening the people that I knew very much, they just knew that they had to hand the money over to me.

The robberies all started the same way, someone I know would be driving a car with me in the back and at first we would pull up next to this other vehicle that looked like an ice cream truck from the 80's but instead of selling ice cream they were selling computer components like video cards or something. I would point my gun at the driver and he would pull over and hand me a decent sized pile of cash, all perfectly aligned and all the same denomination of notes.

I remember great details about the notes and this is where things get strange. The notes were red and white and they were all in $135 denominations. The number on each bill was 135 and now I am searching my mind to see if those three digits have some sort of important context in my own life.

The location wasn't random either. It was the downtown area of the city that I went to college in. This is a frequent locale of my dreams and in particular in this, and all other dreams that take place in this town, there is one part of town that was rarely used by any of us that lived there, to the point that nobody really knew what was over there. This is where I frequently end up in my dreams and subsequently, this is where the driver of the car, who I also robbed, would always drop me off.

<center>
![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmZkmMVtJh2zFm6YdzHdQqKb33ZsK7fSNdmhSjGUvCJNin/image.png)
[src](https://www.dreamchrist.com/wp-content/webp-express/webp-images/uploads/2023/06/robber_1572306348-e1572306381995-1024x678-1.png.webp)</center>

The person driving the car would always have a large amount of money on them, but I would never take the big stacks, but just a smaller one. I started feeling bad for robbing my friend who was being seriously cool about the entire stickup and it was just an assumed part of our interaction. He said to me that he is happy that I am doing it because if it wasn't me, it would be someone else who would take a lot more of his money.

Again, all the notes were in 135 denominations. What is the deal with that number?

Here is something to know about me: I am not at all criminally minded. I am so anti-theft that if I see someone stealing something that has nothing to do with me that I will at least shout at the people and let them know that there is a witness. I have never stolen from my friends and was actually a part of quite high law enforcement before moving away from USA. I do however feel as though committing financial crimes like credit card fraud and insurance companies is ok, because fuck those guys.

Anyway, let's stay on topic: I am not criminally inclined. I certainly would never steal from my friends. Quite the opposite actually: There have been many instances where people have "borrowed" money from me and then later I could see that they didn't really have the capacity to pay me back so I just conveniently "forgot" that they owed me money. I never even bring it up because I don't want them to feel bad about it. This doesn't mean that I am going to loan them more money but still, I'm not a "Fuck you, pay me" type of person. I have never stolen anything that I can recall from anyone and certainly wouldn't do it at gunpoint.

The other interesting thing about these dreams is that in the dream I am not at all concerned with concealing my identity. The people I am robbing know exactly who I am, yet there are no repercussions. There is no fear of repercussions on my part in the dream.

I am happy to report that I felt terrible about robbing my friend but for some reason I was obligated to do it. Kind of like I was just a collector for a mob boss or something.

Here's what the internet experts have to say about this sort of scenario occurring in a dream:

> What does it mean to dream of robbing? If you dream of robbing someone or stealing something, strangely, that might be a good sign. The opportunity is good news or a pleasant surprise coming soon!

> However, dreaming that you are robbing can also mean that you are shaken by self-esteem. You need to assess how you feel in dreams to produce a more accurate interpretation.

Now the self-esteem thing could be something legit because last night before I went to bed I attended a birthday party where the staff had made custom T-shirts and mine, as well as everyone else's was quite tight fitting and I, just like all the other men in attendance save one or two super-fitness-guys, were quite self-conscious about our bellies. Just like anyone in their 40's or above, this is something that is on my mind. So I guess there could be some truth to that but still, it seems like a copout evaluation that would apply to almost anyone. The "pleasant surprise coming soon" also sounds like mumbo-jumbo crap the likes of a fortune cookie or astrology report.

So that's my latest cryptic dream and I'm not all that interested in it other than then number 135. Any ideas about the significance of this very strange addition to the dream?

Yes, this is the life!
# Greetings everyone!

We humans are considered social animal who are very intelligent and full of ideas. Human brain is the most complex machine in this whole universe. It never rests. It is full of lots of ideas, thinking and stupidity as well. Whatever we perceive with our senses, are translated by our brain in the form of information. So, this whole world is nothing but a set of information for us. We get data which is processed in brain and then we form our opinion about things. So, our brain is the observer which transforms this quantum world into real world. Real in the sense that we can touch, see, smell and hear the things which exist in this world or we should say which our brain shows to us.

Despite of so many ideas, sometime we find it very hard to get an idea on which we can write our post. It happens many times with me that my mind is full of thoughts but I do not get an idea on which I may express my thoughts to others. This is the part of life and brain is also behind this intricate dilemma of life. If you have any idea for me to write a post, please suggest it to me.

Thanks!

Dream Journal: I need to move house!
Last night's dream was a frustrating one that at least this time I can attribute to something that I was actually thinking about before I went to bed. Lord only knows how long, in real world time, that this dream was actually going on, but in my mind, it took place over the course of many days.

This dream jumped all over the place though and had multiple themes but they all lead back to one particular thing which was a house or apartment that I was (in the dream) preparing to move out of and had almost everything in place waiting for the moving truck

<center>

[src](https://media.2oceansvibe.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/eternal_recurrence_of_dreams_by_fitore_dgcb1ov-fullview.jpg)</center>

Before we move on I want to talk about the above image. It comes from a web article from 2023 that talks about a [Japanese invention that claims to be capable of recording your dreams like a movie](https://www.2oceansvibe.com/2023/10/30/japanese-scientists-create-dream-reading-machine-that-can-record-dreams-like-a-movie-video/). Since the article is a year old and YouTube isn't filled with people's dreams, I'm guessing it is not true. It's interesting though and worth a look.

Now let's get back to my dream:

Before I went to bed last night I was looking around my apartment and taking stock and realized that my bedroom desk has become an area where all of the "maybe clothes" are perpetually kept. There's 7 or 8 pairs of shorts and a dozen t-shirts just lying there. Some of them have been buried by the others to the point where it is extremely unlikely that I am ever going to wear them. Before I went to bed I determined that I was going to get a box and set a day aside to turn the air con on high and try on all the clothes and if they do not "spark joy" like that Japanese lady says in the house organizing show, I am going to donate them to the local charity.

Lately, I have become increasingly aware of the amount of clutter in my life and it just kind of disturbs me especially since when I moved here from Thailand, I decided that my entire life needed to fit into 2 suitcases henceforth. I can assure you, that at this moment in time that this is definitely not the case.

<center>
![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmVaUZhVRRHAvsebimXXHaKEpH8CSkDZjUFdnGfmgqXouE/image.png)
This does NOT spark joy </center>

So last night I had a dream that is something I frequently dream about and that was one of moving house. At the point in the dream the moving truck hadn't yet turned up and there was stuff all over my apartment. The place was just littered with mostly crap that I had no interest in and it was a huge amount of things - far more than I have in real life. Towards the end of this section of the dream I finally came to the conclusion that I was going to leave most of it behind and started to go through the items and separate them into two piles. One for keeping on one side of the room, and the other for leaving behind.

There were some moments of indecision because in the dream there were some nostalgic but also useless keepsakes mixed in with the items. Now that I am awake the things I can think of that relate to my own life would be random table decorations such as fake plants and pots of some sort the likes of which you would pick up at Pier-1, if that is still a store in USA. I bought a lot of stuff from that store to dress up my apartments in the past and I retained NONE of those items.

By the end of the dream I had managed to realize that a vast majority of the things in my apartment / house, were things that I didn't need to take along with me to the next place. The frustrating part of the dream came from whenever I would finish one area, another area would pop up or I would find more clutter in another room so my task was a Sisyphean one.

According to a [dream interpretation website that I frequent](https://alodreams.com/dreams-about-moving-house-moving-furniture.html) this can mean a wide variety of things in relation to your real life, but as usual most of it sounds like astrology crap that could apply to anyone such as "lack of self care, needing to move on in your life emotionally, or change that is coming in your life that you are nervous about."

I call bullhicky on this and believe it is moreso about the fact that I was looking around my apartment right before bedtime and wanted to clean up the clutter.

The other aspects of my dream likely evolve from my interest in science fiction and survival movies and stories. When I wasn't in my apartment I would be "whooshed" away to a wasteland of sorts where there was one group of people that I was part of that were being hunted in a way by the establishment and I was helping them to stay hidden. In this dream I also spent some time in a failed project established by some very wealthy person or people that was meant to be a haven for people that are not pleased with the way that various governments are ruling the world. The massive facility had fallen into ruin and I don't know why that is. Given the context of the dream I would presume it was because of the people that were hunting me and the others.

Psychologists would probably have some generic explanation for all of this but I can tell you right away how that applies to my own life. I do not like the governments of the world and get seriously annoyed whenever they interfere with my life. This is particularly true in relation to the government that is on the cover of my passport and the reason why I moved out of the United States in the first place was because I was fed up with having every aspect of my life be governed by the most incompetent and inefficient people that you can imagine. Red tape for the sake of having red tape and the bullies who administer said rules is something that I despise and unfortunately I've found that it exists all over the world. One benefit of living in Vietnam is that the government doesn't have the resources to be "all up in your business" about every little thing that you do.

The dream also incorporated me somehow transforming into older me and having young people wandering my yard sale that I was unaware I was having until they were browsing the items. I took on the role of the old-timer in this case and I can definitely see how this would apply to my own life: I am in my midlife and a lot of the people that I encounter living in a tourist part of the world are people that are 10-25 years younger than I am. I find that as time goes by I take on more and more of a role of the "old guy" despite the fact that I live a more youthful life than most of the younger people that I encounter. This does bother me IRL so I guess I can understand why it would end up in my mind.

So while last night's dreams might not be as exciting as the ones I had in the past this sequence of events was more interesting to me because I am actually able to point to all the major aspects of it and see exactly how it relates to my own life. Much of the time my dreams are so convoluted that I have no idea how it got into my brain in the first place.

Had any dreams lately? Let's evaluate them together if you want.

Another frustrating "lost" dream last night
Someone suggested that I keep a dream journal. It was one of you people out there and while I initially thought this would be better with pencil and paper kept next to my bed I, like most people, have nearly forgotten how to write with a pen or pencil but can type at a very fast speed. Since I retain my memories of my dreams long after I wake up, it isn't necessary for me to do it while I am still lying down. I lose none of the information in the time it takes for me to wake up and make a coffee.

So this is my dream journal now. Since I dream almost every single night I have a lot going on in this ol' noggin of mine and in the past 2 days I have had quite similar and frustrating dreams. Unlike the night prior, this "lost" dream didn't result in me sleepwalking around my apartment but the overall theme of the dream was extremely similar.

[src](https://images.newscientist.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/09105124/SEI_190567396.jpg?width=1200)</center>

So last night I recall the important aspects of my dream but not really what it was that was the overall goal of my trek that resulted in me getting lost in the first place. This time rather than being in the forest or somewhere remote I was in an urban environment. I don't know if in the dream I was meant to be in Chicago or NYC, but it was somewhere very populated like that.

If you have ever been to these cities you have probably seen scenes of people whisking through the subway systems (or the elevated trains, if you are in Chicago) and how if you are there and are confused about how the system works, you feel as though you are in the minority. When I lived in Chicago, it took me a while to figure out what the hell was going on with the trains because while the system seems easy to understand for people that have always used it, it can be really frustrating for someone that is new. Normally, a "line" or which direction the train is actually going is labeled by what the last stop on that line actually is. They can't say north, east, west, or south because the trains will sometimes change directions and not head in a straight path. Your stop likely isn't the end of the line, but it will be labeled as such. So if you don't know which way the train is actually going, you could very well end up on the wrong line or at least go in the wrong direction for a stop or two before you figure that out.

<center>
![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmRNvyfZoHo8xBkWCX76C61mkuUaT3wTgX4Wwhs8LXhDSb/image.png)
[src](https://i.pinimg.com/736x/60/32/03/60320379d709911a6ec310070f123c74.jpg)</center>

Also, sometimes the very entrances to the subway are almost hidden from view and there could be tons of different lines down there once you get in. While i have never lived in NYC I have some friends that do and I always feel lost when I am using the trains. I also feel like I am getting the way of people that actually do know where they are going and this is only because I definitely am getting in the way of them.

In my dream I simply couldn't figure out where I was supposed to queue up and even when I gambled and chose a path I was wrong and ended up in a hallway that was exiting the subway rather than even getting on a train. When i asked someone that worked there (in the dream) they told me that I would have to buy another card because I already used this one up. Then at some point I found myself outside and was walking towards where I thought the entrance to the subway was only to discover that it was several blocks behind me and I had managed to walk past it and not see it.

I don't even remember what my destination was in this dream.

Something else that entered the dream was that my older sister was in the dream and she was not being very helpful despite the fact that whatever city this was in the dream, it was a city that she lived in. She wasn't helping me even though she could have and this just added to my frustration. At one point she said "ill just drive us" and this just made me even more upset because I was stubborn and wanted to figure out the subway system, not just get to my destination.

[src](https://assets.bwbx.io/images/users/iqjWHBFdfxIU/iYtiQrLRkMa8/v0/-1x-1.jpg)
I have visited the Big Apple many times and this is still a convoluted mess in my mind </center>

Now that I think about it I believe in the dream I was going to some sort of concert.

When I finally emerged from this dream and was back in my bed in Vietnam, I was so frustrated from the dream that I couldn't get back to sleep. I ended up capitulating and eventually got out of bed at the first sight of sunlight peeking around my curtains. It was a 5am start time for me today and I probably could have gotten up hours before that. I don't like waking up before the sun because that just results in me needing to go to bed even earlier the following night and the pattern ends up simply repeating itself.

So i've broken down a few elements of the dream.

* Me refusing to just let my sister drive me is based in my own stubbornness and unwillingness to let other people help me even when that is clearly the easiest way out. I do not like admitting defeat in real life and there are many instances where I have made things more complicated for myself because of this stubbornness. I also do not like to remain ignorant of how things work even though just letting someone else "do it for me" is clearly the easier way out.

* Me and my sister have butted heads my entire life. We were the first 2 born in our family and although we have chilled out a lot since getting older, give us a few days around one another and we will be right back at it arguing with one another over something completely trivial.

* The trains confusing me is something that I have gotten unreasonably upset about on a number of occasions in my life. Even the trains in Bangkok, which I think are some of the best in the world, have that system of identifying which way the train is actually going by naming the line the last stop on that line is a system that I have never liked and find confusing. I don't know any other way that they could possibly do it though. In any city that has a mass transit something or other in it i always find it more difficult than it needs to be. I have heard that the London underground is extremely complex and difficult to understand for anyone that doesn't live there. Good thing I have no intention of ever going to London!

* I had previously read that being lost in a dream indicates a decision or series of decisions that are in your awake life that you are having trouble dealing with. At the moment I am working on an extended visa and this is frustrating to me. I also have some choices coming up about whether or not I am going to continue to live in this country or not and this is something that I frequently have issues with. I also am getting a little fed up with the fact that all of my days have started to feel the same day in and day out and I want more in life than just routine. Perhaps that bothers me a great deal more than I actually am willing to recognize.

So that's my crazy ass dream from last night. Perhaps it seems a bit silly to get so worked up over a clearly fictional dream that I am unable to get back to sleep at 3am or whatever time it initially was but perhaps that is just another sign about how my stubbornness in the dream is just a reflection of how stubborn I am in real life.

Does Not Receive Oxygen From The Blood
<div class=text-justify>
The recovery time for stroke patients on average takes a long time. In the first month after a stroke, the recovery process goes rather quickly, but after 3-6 months this process slows down and after more than 1-2 years it will settle down. In the brain stem, a blockage in the blood vessels of the brain stem can cause an ischemic type of brain stem stroke. When the blood does not reach the brain tissue properly, the tissue in the brain will be disturbed and eventually will die because it does not receive oxygen from the blood. Until now, there is no drug that treats hemorrhagic stroke. This disease requires emergency medical attention, even when treated early, a person may experience a fatal disorder. Severe bleeding in the brain can also cause permanent damage, such as physical and memory problems. A number of physical risk factors that can actually be prevented are smoking, lack of physical activity, poor diet, alcohol consumption, high cholesterol levels, narcotics, obesity, hormone replacement therapy, hypertension, heart rhythm disorders, other heart diseases, diabetes, and migraines. . One of the dietary restrictions for mild stroke is red meat. A study revealed that consumption of red meat can increase the risk of stroke recurrence. As a solution, you can get protein intake through fish or lean white meat to avoid the risk of stroke recurrence.

Techniques to Unlock Theta Brainwaves
Now that we understand the benefits and science behind theta brainwaves, let's explore some practical techniques to unlock them. Whether you are new to meditation or have been practicing for years, these techniques can help you access the theta state and experience its transformative effects.

Meditation for Theta Brainwave Activation
Meditation is one of the most effective ways to unlock theta brainwaves. By practicing meditation regularly, you can train your mind to enter the theta state more easily. Here are some tips to incorporate theta meditation into your daily routine:

Find a Quiet Space: Choose a quiet and comfortable space where you can meditate without distractions. This will help you create a conducive environment for theta brainwave activation.
Focus on Your Breath: Start by focusing on your breath. Take slow, deep breaths, and as you exhale, release any tension or stress. This will help relax your body and calm your mind.
Visualize Peaceful Scenes: As you continue to breathe deeply, visualize peaceful scenes or imagine yourself in a serene natural environment. This can help induce a state of deep relaxation and facilitate theta brainwave activation.
Use Guided Meditations: If you find it challenging to enter the theta state on your own, you can use guided meditations specifically designed to activate theta brainwaves. These guided meditations often incorporate soothing music and visualizations to help you relax and access the theta state.
Breathing Exercises for Theta Brainwave Enhancement
Another powerful technique to unlock theta brainwaves is through specific breathing exercises. Deep, rhythmic breathing can help calm the mind and induce a state of deep relaxation. Here are a few breathing exercises to try:

4-7-8 Breathing: Inhale deeply through your nose for a count of 4. Hold your breath for a count of 7. Exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of 8. Repeat this cycle several times, focusing on the rhythm of your breath.
Alternate Nostril Breathing: Close your right nostril with your right thumb and inhale deeply through your left nostril for a count of 4. Close your left nostril with your right finger, and hold your breath for a count of 4. Release your right thumb and exhale through your right nostril for a count of 8. Repeat this cycle several times, alternating nostrils.
Box Breathing: Inhale deeply through your nose for a count of 4. Hold your breath for a count of 4. Exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of 4. Hold your breath for a count of 4. Repeat this cycle several times, focusing on the square pattern of your breath.
Visualization Techniques for Theta Brainwave Stimulation
Visualization is a powerful technique that can help stimulate theta brainwaves. By creating vivid mental images, you can access the theta state more easily. Here are some visualization techniques to try:

Create a Dream Board: Create a visual representation of your goals and desires by making a dream board. Collect images, quotes, and symbols that resonate with you and arrange them on a board. Spend a few minutes each day focusing on your dream board, visualizing yourself achieving your goals.
Guided Visualization: Find a guided visualization that aligns with your goals or intentions. Close your eyes, relax, and listen to the guided visualization while allowing your mind to create vivid mental images. This can help stimulate theta brainwaves and enhance your ability to manifest your desires.
Mental Rehearsal: Mentally rehearse a desired outcome or scenario. Whether it's preparing for a presentation or envisioning a successful outcome in a particular situation, mentally rehearsing can help activate theta brainwaves and improve your performance.

Recurring dream elements: body parts deteriorating or even falling off of me
I dream frequently, like nearly every night and unlike a lot of other people I am able to remember my dreams when I wake up. I don't often have scary dreams but I do have dreams that have feelings of dread or terrible things happening to me that are scary.

<center>
![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmTrkwjd2NhaKQCgBj9jmq7fAgTFYNqBbFM2omNocVHa3B/image.png)
[src](https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/bxV5MWwY9mKUviwStDzUGT-1200-80.jpg)</center>

I actually quite like going to sleep because of my dreams for the most part, but there is sometimes elements of my dreams that make me feel relieved when I do wake up. One of these things is parts of my body deteriorating or falling out.

One that is very common in dreams is when people dream about their teeth falling out. This is so common that it has been featured in many films and there are many speculations about what this can mean. Some of them sound like mumbo-jumbo that could apply to everyone just like astrology in that many psychologists claim that teeth falling out in dreams indicates that you are going through stress in your life. Ok, well who isn't? Another common one is that losing your teeth indicates that you are not taking care of a family member as much as you think you should. I find this interpretation to be so vague as to apply to everyone as well. Another silly one that they seem to attribute to almost any kind of dream anyone is having that is a bit stressful is that you having a "feeling of loss of self control."

The only one that I have read that actually seems to hold a bit of water to me is one where Dr. Gonzalez-Berrios stated that dreaming of teeth falling out indicates as loss of self-image in your own life, often because of letting yourself go a bit or getting older. This one makes sense to me in my own life.

It isn't just my teeth in my dreams though. I often have problems with my finger or toenails in my dreams and if I pull on them, they come completely off, often revealing a horrible infection underneath or in some situations simply a void of nothing inside. There is no pain, the interior of my toes are just hollow. This has happened with my heels and knees in my dreams as well.

Something else that is kind of common in my dreams is that I will have some sort of really thick hair growing on some part of my body that isn't my head and I pull on it and it just keeps coming and coming, sometimes until it is several feet long and there is some sort of weed bulb on the end of it, kind of like a spring onion. Again, there is no pain in the removal of these things but it is just like I am turning into some sort of living Chia Pet and this is unnerving.

I will have an ear or part of an ear fall off, or fingers or even my entire forearm. I sometimes will also notice holes in my body but when I look inside of the holes there is no flesh, just a void of nothingness.

In all of these situations I feel zero pain in the dream, just a sense of dread about my body falling apart and what that will mean for me if this situation continues. Of course I always breathe a huge sigh of relief whenever I wake up. I never actually go and check my body in the mirror, I'm not nuts enough to believe that it was actually real when I wake up.

Then we also have loss of hair on my head in my dreams but this one is easy to ID since I am losing my hair as we speak and am going back to Saigon later this month to hopefully have the hair transplant procedure done on me.

Do you ever have things like this in your dreams? It's my understanding that the teeth one is very common but have never heard of anyone experiencing the other ones.

This is one technological advancement which worries me.
![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQQGhnxSHAT2cSjTYKNYvAhYYFD5PsaZ8XNbtQUuaGAhM/image.png)

Technology isn't inherently good or inherently evil, but can be used by good men or bad men. Splitting the atom gave us the nuclear bomb and it also gave us nuclear power. We've got essentially the library of Alexandria in our pockets, and most people use it to distract themselves, get angry over things that don't matter, and jerk off. Guns have been pointed at citizens, and pointed at tyrants.

I do think that on balance, technology has greatly improved humanity's standard of living. It hasn't done so with zero cost, but it has done so all the same.

I don't trust the government on anything. I trust the wealthy to generally act in their own self-interest, which often serves the public interest when they aren't using the force of government. I think Musk personally has good intentions with Neuralink, but that doesn't mean there aren't risks involved with the development of that technology regardless of his personal motivations.

Exploring the Depths: AI Mind vs. Human Mind ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿง
![_c45f156f-a83f-49af-b92b-1c9c6011eab5.jpeg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmZpMN9khT93jML3u3imaiByHTJBX8wRa316Myv9LwjXWm/_c45f156f-a83f-49af-b92b-1c9c6011eab5.jpeg)

In the realm of cognition and intelligence, the comparison between AI minds and human minds often sparks curiosity and debate. As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to advance at an unprecedented pace, it's natural to wonder how it measures up against the intricacies and complexities of the human mind. This blog delves into the distinct features, capabilities, and limitations of both AI and human cognition, exploring the fascinating interplay between these two realms.

**Understanding Artificial Intelligence (AI) Minds:**

Artificial intelligence refers to the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. AI encompasses a diverse range of technologies, from machine learning algorithms to neural networks, designed to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. These tasks include problem-solving, pattern recognition, language understanding, and decision-making.

AI minds excel in several areas:

1. **Speed and Efficiency:** AI systems can process vast amounts of data and perform complex computations at remarkable speeds, far surpassing human capabilities in terms of computational efficiency.

2. **Accuracy and Precision:** AI algorithms are designed to minimize errors and achieve high levels of accuracy in tasks such as image recognition, natural language processing, and data analysis.

3. **Scalability:** AI models can be scaled up to handle increasingly large datasets and complex tasks, making them invaluable tools in fields like healthcare, finance, and research.

However, AI minds also have notable limitations:

1. **Lack of Contextual Understanding:** While AI can process and analyze data effectively, it often struggles to understand the broader context or nuances of human communication and behavior.

2. **Inability to Generalize:** AI models are trained on specific datasets and may struggle to generalize their knowledge to new or unfamiliar situations without additional training or fine-tuning.

3. **Ethical and Bias Issues:** AI systems can inherit biases present in the data they are trained on, leading to potential ethical implications and discriminatory outcomes.

**Exploring the Human Mind:**

The human mind remains one of the most complex and enigmatic entities in the known universe. Shaped by evolution, experience, and social interaction, the human brain is capable of astonishing feats of creativity, empathy, and abstract thinking.

Key attributes of the human mind include:

1. **Creativity and Innovation:** Unlike AI, which relies on predefined algorithms and data patterns, human beings possess the innate ability to think creatively, imagine possibilities, and innovate in diverse fields ranging from art and literature to science and technology.

2. **Emotional Intelligence:** Humans exhibit a rich array of emotions and social behaviors that enable them to navigate complex interpersonal relationships, understand non-verbal cues, and empathize with othersโ€”a level of emotional intelligence that AI has yet to replicate convincingly.

3. **Adaptability and Learning:** Human cognition is characterized by its adaptability and capacity for lifelong learning. Unlike AI systems, which require extensive training and reprogramming to learn new tasks, humans can acquire knowledge, skills, and expertise through experience, observation, and reflection.

Despite its remarkable capabilities, the human mind also has its limitations:

1. **Cognitive Biases and Heuristics:** Human decision-making is often influenced by cognitive biases and heuristicsโ€”mental shortcuts that can lead to errors in judgment and reasoning.

2. **Limited Processing Capacity:** The human brain has finite processing capacity and is susceptible to information overload, fatigue, and cognitive fatigue, which can impair decision-making and cognitive performance.

3. **Vulnerability to Mental Health Disorders:** The human mind is vulnerable to a myriad of mental health disorders, ranging from depression and anxiety to schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, underscoring the complexity and fragility of the human psyche.

**The Intersection of AI and Human Minds:**

As AI technologies continue to evolve, the boundaries between AI and human cognition are becoming increasingly blurred. Researchers and engineers are exploring ways to enhance AI systems with human-like capabilities such as emotional intelligence, creativity, and adaptability, while also striving to understand and mitigate the ethical and societal implications of AI development.

In conclusion, the comparison between AI minds and human minds is not a simple dichotomy but rather a nuanced exploration of the unique strengths, weaknesses, and potential synergies between these two domains. While AI excels in computational efficiency and precision, the human mind remains unparalleled in its creativity, emotional depth, and adaptability. By harnessing the complementary strengths of AI and human cognition, we can unlock new possibilities for innovation, collaboration, and societal progress in the decades to come. ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ”ฌ

Brain chip tech makes me uneasy.
![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmcztx6tkPJc5E1zs9LuqRkTkfdibb5ehVuZ8HtcN82o4u/image.png)

Despite being a bit of a boomer when it comes to using tech, I ain't no Luddite. I'm often optimistic about the potential of disruptive new innovations' ability to be positive for humanity in the long term. The advancement of tech has, by and large, been hugely beneficial to living standards and experience, I expect that trend to continue, and I get excited for humanity about what tech's future holds.

That said, the news that Neuralink implanted a brain chip in a human for the first time last night makes me incredibly uneasy.

I think there's some potential danger from AI, though I ain't all that worried about the LLM stuff. But the brain chip thing provokes an immediate emotional response. The rejection isn't as much a considered rational one as much as an instinctively fearful "nuh-uh".

Kids Are So Much SMARTER Than Adults?
But what about us adults?
How many of us still have access to our God-given creative genius, which could allow us to transform our finances, our health, and our relationships right now?

Brace yourself for this one:
Given the same test, less than 2% of adults still had access to this superbrain power.

The Limbic Lobe Unveiled: Location and Functions of a Vital Brain Region
The limbic lobe consists of a cluster of structures in the brain that have an essential role in controlling emotion, behavior, motivation, long-term memory and olfaction. Knowing the anatomy and physiology of this area of the brain helps to understand human behavior and psychiatric disorders. Read on to know [where brain limbic lobe is and what it does](https://nakaselawfirm.com/brain-limbic-lobe-where-is-it-and-what-does-it-do/).

Where Is the Limbic Lobe?

The limbic lobe is not one whole structure, but a system of structures located deep in the cerebrum. It is located at the center of the brain, encircling the brain stem. The components of the limbic lobe include hippocampus, amygdala, anterior thalamic nuclei, fornix, mammillary bodies, cingulate gyrus and olfactory bulb. These phylogenetically ancient structures are part of the limbic system, which also encompasses pathways that link the limbic structures to each other and to other regions in the brain.

The Limbic Lobe Functions

The limbic lobe has also been referred to as the emotional brain. Its different parts are responsible for emotions and behavioral reactions, long-term memory formation, motivation, and sense of smell. Key functions include:

Emotion: The amygdala and cingulate gyrus are structures that facilitate emotional responses to events and stimuli. They decide how much emotional value is attributed to memories and learned associations.

Behavior: The limbic system is responsible for behaviors that are essential to survival and reproduction such as feeding, breeding, and protection. These behaviors are controlled by components such as the hypothalamus and mammillary bodies.

Motivation: Limbic structures dopamine pathways motivate behavior through reward and pleasure feelings. Limbic-driven motivation includes desiring food or searching for a mate.

Memory: The hippocampus is an important part of the process that converts short-term memories into long-lasting memory traces. In this area, emotional memories and learned associations are encoded.

Smell: The olfactory bulb is the first station of smell processing. This has wide neural connections all over the limbic system, which explains why smell can create vivid and intense memories and emotions.

Damage, disruption, or disconnection from other brain parts of limbic structures can lead to psychiatric disorders that include mood instability, inadequate emotional responses, memory loss and motivation loss. Anatomy and physiology of the limbic lobe shed light on mental disorder and psychology. By combining information about past experiences, current environment, needs, emotions, and sensory input that it uses to guide behaviors necessary for survival.
