The Movements You MUST Do for Your BEST Fitness:
In order to lose body fat, build big strength gains, and simply be as functionally able as your body was meant to be in...you have to do compound movements. As in multi-joint movements. Get as many muscles moving at the same time as possible. It promotes natural growth hormone (to help muscles and other tissues recover and grow stronger), and "trains" your muscles to work in synch which makes you stronger and more efficient. And, more muscles moving means more calories burned: fat loss!
Does it have to be as crazy as what you're looking at in the picture below? Nope. Work at YOUR level. But get lots of muscles moving simultaneously. Your body will love you for it.

My midweek jog @ Almaden lake
Hello all, here is my midweek jog with a few snaps of Almaden park and the Los Alamitos trail. The shot below almost looks like it is from a Japanese garden with the red tree, it definitely stood out.

The jog was 3.5 miles at a 8' 57" pace, not too bad for >50...

Here are the splits/data. My cadence was 158 steps per minute and I am trying to increase it to ~165 or more. Not easy...

I Can & I Will Promo Video production
Last week, my client ( Anytime Fitness Malaysia) hired me to shoot a promo video for a fitness challenge event. I , alone used 2 DSLR and 2 lenses to do the shoot.

Body: Canon 70d and 80d
Lenses: Canon 85mm 1.2 & Canon 24mm 1.4

I just love the auto focus & follow focus feature of Canon 70d and 80d, for the video purpose. It took me 3 hours to complete the footage for this 1 minute promo video:)

The editing took me xxx days to finish , it's not an easy job as a videographer. Hope you love the video

Why You Should Run the Stairs

Forget the gimmicks and all the silly workout videos out there.  I treat training like business and don’t like to waste time.  A lot of time can be squandered at the gym waiting for equipment and having meaningless conversations.  Running the stairs is one of the best full-body works you can do.  It is intense and one of my favorites in getting in the best shape of my life.  All you need is some flight of stairs and no need for fancy equipment.  The benefits include:

Health:  Its intensity can lower your risk illnesses such as: heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stress, depression and stroke

Calorie Burn: Because running the stairs is so powerful, you burn more calories than if you were running normally

Explosiveness: It enables athletes to have better footwork and quickness

Abdominal, Buttocks, Calves and Hamstrings (back of the thighs): These muscles activate when you’re going up the steps.  Your calf mu

Losing weight seems to be everybody’s obsession, but only a few can achieve this feat.

At conception or start of the losing weight programme it can seem very easy, but then it isn’t straightforward because only a few people who start it end up completing it by losing some few kg(s) monthly, and there are a lot of reasons for this.

Everyone seems to be captivated by on-screen ads that make it look easy for everyone and anyone to lose weight, but reverse is the case as what is portrayed by these ads is actually fake (we all know that nothing good comes easy but these ads just show someone either doing only a rep of press-ups daily for like a week and boom he’s losing 30lbs monthly. The truth is that’s a scam; it doesn’t work that way. For you to lose weight, you must be ready to stress your self and hit the gym as hard as you, try out different types of exercises daily and cut down on fatty foods

How I went from fatness to fitness, in 10 steps!
At an age when many people are preparing for their declining years, I am feeling fitter than ever, and it was all triggered by a health crisis.

It wasn't a desperate, life-threatening crisis, thankfully – more of a chronic syndrome, one that I was left to my own devices to treat. 

I had several symptoms which most people said were simply due to my advancing age of 55. I was expected to put on my carpet slippers, sit in front of the telly and forget about it. But after decades of being a fairly health-conscious, relatively healthy eater who did regular exercise (gym and running) I wasn't prepared to sit back and watch my health go into a tailspin in the space of a few months! 

The symptoms of my sudden health downturn were:

• rapid weight gain of 28lbs

For a Beginner 5lbs or 8lbs will be Plenty.  And Someone More Advanced will Use 12lbs – 15lbs.  Sounds Pretty Light for an Advanced Fitness Level But for the Planned Exercises you will be Working with Cardio Based Reps and for the Duration of 1min each.  These Weights will Get Heavy!!!

Perform each Exercise Below for 1 Minute each without Rest Until all Exercises Listed are Completed.

Full sit up Dumbbell Press 1 min
Up Up Down Down Plank 1 min
Dumbbell Punches 1 min
Skier swing 1 min
Rest Maximum 2 min
Repeat 5X for 30min Workout
