ICYMI, there is a ugly fruit contest ran by @bullionstackers. Details of that in this post:
I went looking for an ugly that I know well. It's called durian. It's been called the smelliest fruit. It was used in a challenge in Fear Factor before. See it in this video I found on youtube.
If you watch US TV series, it's appeared in

It’s wonderful that modern society is prosperous enough that we can spend our hard-earned discretionary income on luxuries unimaginable to humans from centuries past. These luxuries include cars and computers, but also feature the simple and ubiquitous features of modern life.
The production of an onion ring is an enormously complex process.
Take the onion ring. Made of two basic components, the onion and the breading, subsequently deep fried in fat or oil, the onion ring is almost entirely devoid of substantive nutritional value. It is an amazing luxury that modern man is so wealthy, and so well-fed, that he can eat fried, breaded onions solely for pleasure.
I have recently become fascinated by the deceptively simple beauty of the onion ring. In
The extended flux, also known as stretched flux, is a mass made basically of water, sugar and fat. It is used basically to cover cakes, making it possible to decorate them with infinite of options, giving them form, color and always flavor. The flux is usually bought already prepared and it is possible that many of the thoughts of which the recipe of melting the landlord is difficult to make the ingredients they need are complicated to find, but nothing further from the reality.
There are more and more brands of flux, but it is difficult to find the one that best suits our way of working or our climate: wetter and more elastic hay, harder ones, very sweet ones, others excessively expensive ...
Today as explicit how to make fondant step by step, we can adapt it to your tastes and needs, that is to say, you can give it the aroma that we want and the texture that the climate requires. Take note of this extended melt recipe, also known as American dough. If you need more resources you only have to multiply the in
Today I want to share recipe with you : oyster with dry star fruit (Aceh : tirom te phep)
This food looks simple, but it feels very delicious
You want to try it, Here are the ingredients and how to cook.
the main ingredient :
I am Caja. I have been working for over 15 years and my colleagues/friends/family and I have come across good and bad bosses.
I would like to share the experiences that we have here to help folks who face similar bad situations get some perspective as well as to share the good leadership styles that we have come across. Why I am passionate about this is because I got so depressed recently due to bad management skills that I was contemplating cutting myself. I was so surprised that a very strong person can be reduced to this. Hence, I intend to write on leadership skills to share and I hope to inject a brand of humor into my pieces to keep it light-hearted. After all, life is a stage isn't? So do chill out and eat drink and be merry.
This comes to another side of me –good food! If you are keen to know the good food in Singapore, Hanoi, Macau and Hongkong which I have tried the past 3 months, I will
While I’m not a 100% percent vegan, plant-based dishes are my favorite. I love the creativity and colors you can put in these dishes. So for this week’s SCC, I decided to combine my passion for veggie food with my favorite non-vegan comfort food, lasagna!
While I have made many vegan-style lasagnas in the past, this one turned out so good! It might even be the best one I have ever made. The secret, almond powder instead of soaked cashew nuts! Yum!
9 sheets lasagna noodles
3/4 cup grated cheese or Panko breadcrumbs
1 cup onion, finely chopped
2 clove of garlic, minced
2 cup zucchini, finely chopped
2 cups eggplant, finely chopped
2 cups carrots, finely chopped
3 cups tomatoes, chopped
¾-1 cup water
3 cups fresh Cambodian Spinach, shredded
sea salt to taste
black pepper to taste
1 tsp dried rosemary
2 tsp dried oregano
Today I learned that I could make homemade cannabis infused ice cream from scratch without using refined sugar, edible oils and the gum fillers that are typically used to make commercially prepared ice cream. That translates into a healthier recipe with a hand-full of recognizable ingredients that you can easily pronounce.
(Wow!!! I didn't think that I could do it either...make cannabis infused ice-cream, that is.)
Yet, here we are.
(Now, this recipe will make a very nice non-cannabis ice-cream too. Just omit the 1/4 cup of infused bee honey and increase the amount of regular bee honey from 3/4 cup to 1 cup. This will ensure that all your ratios will remain the same.)
I'm not going to sugar coat this.
It's a long process of chemical reactions and infusions. Some taking longer than others and spanning over a few days.
This is not a recipe that you can make in the morning and enj
Okay, this was a last minute thing, but I wanted to join the contest this week! Here's my entry, a chocolate truffles recipe!
You will need:
Heat up the cream on low fire.
Break the chocolate in smaller pieces and once the cream is heated up, add the pieces to the cream.
Stir until the chocolate is completely melted. Optionally you'll want to add the taste extract now.
I don't cook fish by myself at home so I sometimes go to eat grilled fish out. The food I ordered was a Set Menu with Grilled Fish called Saengseon gui jeongsik in Korean. The grilled fishes I had were two, saury and spanish mackerel. The set menu included very nice side dishes called Ban-chan in Korean. There were kimchi, seaweed soup, seasoned bracken, japchae. Japchae is mixed dish of boiled bean threads, stir-fried vegetables, and shredded meat.
My favorite side dish was doenjang jigea, a soup with Korean's bean paste with wild chives. Wild chives is a nice wild greens in spring. It smelled good. When I have grilled fish, I always have doenjang jigea together. The harmony of the foods is excellen
Czechs are very fond of fish, although there are no seas in the Czech Republic, but there are many lakes, rivers and ponds in which these handsome carp breed.
In Czech families, it has become popular to buy 2 carp on Christmas Eve: one bake, and the second released at will - this is a sign of mercy in Czech, so that luck will accompany the whole year.
And the Czechs wear fish scales in their wallet, yes, yes, I myself saw them, but this is done so that money will be kept all year round.
In one of my posts I mentioned that I learned to make good pancakes. These pancakes I prepared for the cake, which I wrote about in the previous post But they are universal, and like all pancakes are especially tasty they are hot. Therefore, always preparing a cake, I'm counting on an additional necessary quantity, pancakes that
leave the plate, while I do prepare them all)).
750 grams of milk
Half a teaspoon of soda
Half-teaspoon of salt
3 tablespoons sugar
7-8 tablespoons flour
5-6 tablespoons vegetable oil
All the ingredients are mixed. Pancakes will not stick to the frying pan, because I add the vegetable oil to the pancake mixture and the frying pan with a special coating. All blended thoroughly with a whisk or whisk in a mixer and proceed to the frying. The frying pan needs to be heated and frying by regulating the fire less, more.

When any baby is born, the baby is totally dependent on the food that we feed them. A new born infant drinks only milk from its mother. Whether it is a human baby or any type of animal, mother's milk is the best for any baby to drink. In humans, new born babies receive all the nutrients they need to survive by just drinking breast milk. A human baby receives the nutrients it needs to grow, and it also gives the infant natural immunity. From about 6 months on wards, babies are weaned off the breast and introduced to other foods. I truly believe that if a baby is fed normal food prior to the six month period, the baby will ha
For people who live in big cities, when we want something to cook, we normally go to the supermarkets. But, for people who live in the countryside, they love to go shopping in the opened markets. I think it is because those things are really fresh and very cheap.
For me, I like the way the local vendors present their products to their customers; they have their own styles which look strange, but very interesting; the chili paste in the coconut shells, etc.
Perhaps, you may not understand or cannot imagine through my words…..it would be better if you would see them through these pictures by yourself!
p.s. : The pictures are from my sister who lives in my hometown, Phatthalung, in the South of Thailand.
Din Tai Fung is probably the most famous restaurant from Taiwan in the world. As so many Steemians have blogged about their dining experiences in many branch stores of DTF around the world. The most famous one is by @sweetsssj at a Hong Kong branch. The point is, as much as we love sweetsssj, her guest is Ned. Oh, Ned is real person, don't you know?! :) See here
And our top notch travel guru @knozaki2015 also have two posts about this restaurant. Yummy, it seems...
