This is a shot from the aircraft window of a dry riverbed in Madagascar. - We are at cruising altitude well above the countryside so this river bed is truly massive. It must be a very impressive site in the rainy season. !(https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmW5WxifiE3p1xzp1k1QTVBXXadeazkkUernR4Su2Vu4Sw/image.png) Even in the rainy season I am sure it does not fill its banks. Madagascar is a country that shows dramatic signs of climate change since the end of the ice ages. It has lost many of its tropical forests as the large island has dried out and so there is plenty of erosion causing the once mighty river courses to silt up.
