The photo above is of my brother in law and his cousin and me on the back right. The guy in the blazer is Morne Du Plessis an ex springbok captain and the manager of the 1995 team. I told you in my post last night it is a small world and the best is not plan for anything as God knows where you could end up.I never expected to be having lunch with the famous team of 1995.I seem to get lucky and end up with my arse in the butter. The only one missing was Francois Pienaar as he was busy with Sky Television doing the pre match talks. ![koxausmw38.jpg](https://img.esteem.ws/koxausmw38.jpg) [source](https://charliehelps.co/tag/francois-pienaar/) The famous photo everyone knows from the 1995 World Cup. I personally didn't take any photographs that day of the event as they had a photographer running around and we were asked not to. Now I know why as it was an alamy photographer who wanted to sell them. This is not an invitation you turn down as how often do you get to sit with a World Cup winning team and socialise. I personally know around half a dozen of them fairly well as I played with and against them during my playing days. The rugby community is fairly tight knit and it is always good to catch up with old team mates. Luckily we knew a large chunk of the team through various dealings whether like me was through playing with some of them or through business like my brother in law. We actually ran out of time for eating and it was only a liquid lunch and grabbed a German sausage at one of the vendors outside the ground. When I say ran out of time we were there from around 11.30 am and left worse for wear at about 4 pm and only then realised we had been drinking on empty stomachs and were on rubbery legs. This was a particularly rough day as after the game we had a good drinking session due to the trains being canceled. I was fortunate enough to arrive back at my mums in one piece in the early hours of the morning. I sobered up quite quickly once I realised the predicament I was in navigating my way around a canceled train timetable due to a nutter committing suicide. I guess I would have been better off using an Uber and getting up to speed with technology.
