Second-seeded veteran Nadal, 33, is still in the lead, despite a fight back by fifth-seeded Russian rival and 23-year-old Daniil Medvedev, 7-5 6-3 5-7 4-6 6-4 . Because of Nadal's victory, he has just won and reached the record of tough rival and Swiss great Roger Federer, 38, holding the all-time leading tally in the men's Grand Slam victories. "It has been one of the most emotional nights in my tennis career," said Nadal, still lying in tennis over emotion. βIt has been an amazing final. It has been a crazy match. β Nadal also couldn't hide his crying after the intense court battle. The extra time before the fight ended, it only took about four minutes to make it past the so-called longest US Open final in history. <center></center>
