6 reasons why you need to be on steemit

Some people who are following my e-mail course ([the 100'000 satoshis a week strategy](https://www.ref-hunters.ch/landing/100000satoshis/landing.html)) wonder why I ask them to open an account on steemit. In this post I want to give you the reasons why you absolutely should open a steemit account.

## Steemit = your free website
In my [e-mail course](https://www.ref-hunters.ch/landing/100000satoshis/landing.html), I show a way to earn passive income by getting referrals for websites that pay you coins. To be able to scale this business, sooner or later you will need a place where to write about these programs and where to put your referral links. For that you need a website. Once you have an account on steemit, you can post your own articles, reviews or posts. So steemit is your way to a free website. No hosting fees, no domain costs, no coding necessary. But steemit is much more than that...

## A worldclass SEO on steemit
Steemit is not the only place where you can have a website for free. When you start your own blog with blogger or wordpress however, you will need a lot of work to get your articles in an advanced position on google search. Steemit has an integrated SEO which makes your articles very readable for search engines. You only need to put keywords in your titles and use these keywords in your subtitles and headers and already you will have big chances to find a way to the top of google search. This is because Steemit ranks very high on Alexa. With a ranking of around 3'500 Alexa it is better placed than many newspapers or other medias. If in addition you can have a lot of upvotes and comments, your post will go through the roof. 

## Earn while you post
Let's say you write a review about a paying website. If you write it well and manage to get peoples interest in the site, you might get referrals for this website. So you can earn from these referrals. If your article is well liked within the steemit community, you might get upvotes and upvotes mean money to you on steemit. 7 days after posting your article, you will get paid Steem or SBD to your account. 

## Every post = several websites
What many people tend to forget is that when you post an article on steemit, you actually post this article into the steem blockchain. Steemit is however not the only interface to this blockchain. When you post an article it will also be visible on other interfaces like https://busy.org, https://esteem.app/, http://bsteem.com/ or https://ulogs.org/. So every article you write will be visible in many places.

## A community listening to you
Steemit comes with a huge community of people from all over the world. Whenever you post someting on steemit you have the chance to show it to this community. You can follow people, comment, upvote and create relationships. So if you do it well, you can increase your audience over time.

## Bots, Steem Power to increase your income
In addition to all this, steemit comes also with many complex factors that are worth exploring over time. You can pay bots to upvote your articles or to resteem them to other users. You can build up steem power to increase the value of your own upvotes. You can sell your upvotes and get money for it. You can delegate your voting power and also get paid for it. You can use hundreds of applications that are based on the steem blockchain.

Thanks for this. I'm @cambridgeport90 on Kryptonia. I think though that a lot of this has to do with what each individual is doing up here. I, for one, am up here mostly for the relationships, the community, and the visibility, not as much for the money. Money is nice, but not everything. I can understand, though, for the folks who depend on this platform to pay their bills. I personally never would, then again, I'm not in a position requiring me to. But thanks for the information. I'll see whether or not to join the course. I might, I might not.
