For general speaking by experienced voters and autovoters, they mostly start voting at 20 minutes to 29:59 seconds. Frankly speaking, I have no idea and didnβt test coz my low power of vote doesnβt make so much difference for curation reward.π π π

In talks with @acidyo (one of the biggest manual curators I know) in steemit.chat. It is my understanding that at 30 minutes the it will be the proper 75%/25% split, at 0 minutes the author gets 100% of rewards. Every minute it scales in between those two numbers. Example: at 15 minutes it would be a 87.5%/12.5% split author/curator. Hopefully that makes sense. The closer you get to 30 minutes the better curation rewards you get, UNLESS you have other big voters who vote before you.

Exactly. Acid said its down to the second actually but to be honest I haven't confirmed. With my SP curation rewards are more of a bonus more than anything. I tend to vote undervalued stuff anyway (not big whale guaranteed curations)

As far as autovoters go its going to change for everyone depending on their other autovoters. If a whale votes @ steemituser at 29 minutes, its obviously beneficial to set it at 28. I see most of my small auto votes come between 15-20 minutes. Acid however rarely votes before the 30 minute mark

One thing to keep in mind @rok-sivante when using SV: usually there are time delays between the number of minutes you set your vote to go out and the number of minutes that the vote actually goes out. So, for example, if you set a rule to auto-vote an author on minute 25 after that author's posts are published, then expect the bot to vote on minute 27-28-29. Something along those lines. For me, there's usually a delay of 3-4 minutes.

The key, outside of timing the vote as close to 30 but before a bigger fish than you, is looking at what the user usually makes on a post. For example, a 50% vote (25c) with my 5000 SP, is going to yield a different result than a 50% vote (4$) than your 100,000 SP account. Also, your vote power (20%) means you need a 4 day break from casting votes. I suggest taking a look at @miniature-tiger's work on curation if you are really into the numbers.

If you were at 95% power then your 100% vote would be 20 times (5000 sp here, 100,000 for you) larger. It will take about 4 days to get there I think.

 Hey This number is still precariously low! I'm sure if you lay off the voting, manually and with a pause of the steemvoter, in 3/4 days you'll be back on track! The alternative is to lower the %'s on steemvoter to try and build your power up whilst still distributing votes. Cheers (for mine recently!)
