Howdy folks'.

Many of you might read this post as about the bot's. It's about a bit more than the bots really I think. The bots are just the current thing in the firing line.

After the last post I made I did get a couple of new views. Or at least new comments from viewers. Normally the posts from *The Hive* do not get many replies. As if no one read them. Honestly, expecting my post to be read is not something that has been a necessity. I came to that conclusion very early on when my post would get no views at all. Or at least no votes after a view.

Maybe adding a view count to a post now would also be a beneficial thing. It would give a guide to possible reads compared to received rewards. If you are getting 100 views and no votes. Maybe it is the content or the presentation which needs to be improved. Currently knowing if you get views is restricted to if you get a vote.

One thing which was mentioned to me. Is only bots who offer a reward on top of the amount sent for promotion get flagged. If you use a bot the is not giving additional rewards you will not get flagged. This serves only to grow those who have the Steem already and not the new member to the community. There is no difference to using those bots or just straight away powering up Maybe powering up you will get more back because the Steem begins to work for you a week earlier.

To any of the big guys out there. It feels like you fear me. (I know to those of you who might read this, they probably do not even know of my existence.) Just hope it is not a prejudice cause I think thinking of just Steem and Steemit is thinking too small. The restriction to thinking within that box is too limiting.

A Steem token being able to be used for daily transactions is what I see possible. I see how to make it happen. I see it bring a need for more of that token. I see it were a smaller amount of that token is worth more

https://files.steempeak.com/file/steempeak/thehive/yPLOKL3d-bar20120rainbow.jpg

Ultimately I do not think either extreme is right. The freedom to abuse or the total restriction of use. This is a dictatorship a totalitarian control over the actions of others. I am more and more convinced as these thoughts progress with no opposition of any value from others opposing it. This whole thing reduction of growth for new members to the platform. By using a curve scale to reward those with a much higher stake than the average user.

There are two reasons being given here for the down vote. One is quality content and to stop shit posts getting a high reward. Basically, a higher standard of a post is required. How do we establish this standard. There is no approach to this that I have seen. No one is willing to cowboy up and say. This is a standard for X Y or Z. Yet they want to control the content. Make the content of a high quality, they say that is what will bring people here. What utter feckin bollox.

Come on. On the front page of Steemit. The one you see when you type steemit.com into the address bar. It clearly states. Get rewarded to blog. It is the rewards people come for. When they get here, you are going to tell them now, NO! It's about community. not getting paid for your post. Steemit Inc says one thing. The witness' determine another.

> I have a question. What is the actual daily figure given to the reward pool. We do not have 80,000 active members to my understanding. If we have 80,000 daily. Some mofo is pulling quite a bit of Steem from the reward pool at quite a few K a day. Or some cliche.

Then you have the taking from the rewards pool side of things. Okay you cannot take more than you can give and votes gained from the reward pool. It just cannot be done. The amount of value your vote will give is predetermined.

 https://files.steempeak.com/file/steempeak/thehive/Gk8b5HE2-bar20120rainbow.jpg

So we have a division of two different things combining together to give the reward level. The % of the total Steem powered up. And the daily % of the reward pool. The reward pool % you get to give is in direct relation to the % of the overall Steem there is powered up.

If there is 100 Steem powered up total across the platform and there is a reward pool of 100. If you hold 10 Steem powered up, you would give the reward value of 10.

1000 Steem powered up total across the platform and 100 in the reward pool and you hold 10. This will mean you give a reward of 1.

This has changed now and the more Steem you hold the less value per Steem you reward to others. This is the new curve set up by those with a higher level of power than is needed to provide a full vote. Effectively, You are wiser to split the Steem you hold to various accounts until you reach a level above 240,000 Steem Power. That is a long way to go for a handicap inflicted by a community.

When a vote gets placed. That vote gives a reward value which gets displayed. Accumulated votes get added to the total and they are also displayed as a total. This will be the amount of reward the post will get at the time the Steem reward pool release to the publisher. There are fluctuation to this amount dependant on market prices. If the price of the currency rises then the reward value will rise too. The amount of the vote does not change. The vote remains the same, it is only the market value of that reward which has changed.

The start of a new day. We are going to make our first vote. Not only that we are going to make the very first vote of the day. No one has voted before us. The clock hits 00:00 and before it hits 00:00.001 we get the first vote in. YAY! first vote. How much is the vote worth? It is the same as if you were to do the last vote of the day. There is no variation in this unless it is due to market forces or a large power up or down on the Steem Power.
The value of your vote does not alter as another person places a vote. It remains the same, It remains the % of Steem Power you hold in relation to the amount of the daily reward pool. This remains constant and does not change with the general actions of others.

The amount of reward we give when we vote is predetermined The amount of rewards which can be taken from the pool on any given day is also limited by the amount produced.

Somebody voting to their own account and only to their account takes no more from the reward pool than their Steem Power allows. If they vote their stake to a post published by someone else, it makes no difference. The amount of the vote they use can make a difference to the size of the reward pool tomorrow. If they do not use their vote, that amount of Steem will not get paid out and will be added to the total reward pool for a seven day period.

I have a vote and it has a value of 100 Steem. I have a total of 10 of these I can do in a 24 hour period. This amount will replenish also through that 24 hours, leaving me a daily vote of ten. If I only use 9 of these votes 100 Steem will be added to the reward pool. It does not matter where I place these votes. The amount I can vote with is already set.

The same thing goes when voting bots are applied. Anything the voting bot or bid bot votes with and distributes to posts has already been allocated. If these voting bots do not vote the vote goes unused and the reward pool for tomorrow increases slightly. A service is provided and used. A user exchanges their Steem for the service. Is this not what we want to happen, the ability to use Steem to better our lives?

My conclusion here is. You cannot rape the reward pool, everything you can do with your stake is already pre-set. You can choose were you will delegate your stake. You can make individual or group choices. You can concentrate your efforts strictly on financial generation or on the publishing side of things. The reward pool is outside of the control of others to rape or pilfer. The ability to concentrate financial rewards is there and is used by many. Everyone holds a measure they cannot go above or beyond when it comes to the reward pool.

You could look at it that those who flag published content because of the use of bots are preventing free trade of goods and services and dictating where another should spend their earned Steem.

So the raping the reward pool.
Dump that lame ass excuse and stop acting like a muppet. Come on get real. Who ever has their hand up your ass I hope they are tickling your tonsils. Raping the reward pool is nothing more than drama designed to cause confusion. Using this tactic, each time will result in a loss to the community as people divide or move on. This also diminishes the value of the word rape itself. Comparing what happens on Steem to the equivalent of rape is just plain disgusting.

We should maybe take a look at all of those accounts that are down voting now and see if and what gains they themselves got from the use of a Bid Bot or the support of one. As they disagree so much with the use of them Any gains gotten Power them down and burn them. Lead us by example and do as I say not as I do role. False propaganda to promote a personal ambition. Power it down and burn it.

 https://files.steempeak.com/file/steempeak/thehive/RKgNZgPM-bar20120rainbow.jpg

It is also told to me. That it is not what you write, but who likes you. I'm fecked to always be poor. The brown nosing skills I am not that good with. I say my view regardless of who might listen. Often it highlights something I see as a faulty system and something which should be looked at. It is more often taken as an attack and a defensiveness is taken in the reply. In truth my mind see's it as constructive. Highlighting something which may be able to be avoided if looked at prior.

After the Bid bot voting is got under control. Circle jerks and voting for friends will be watched very carefully of us lower ranks. It will also be a no no. Repetitive voting for the same people won't be permitted either? It just looks too much like a circle jerk.

When does an opinion about something become absolute? To any issue that arises from this down voting. The solution is said to be "The community can do that". The community seems to be shrinking too.

The whole thing along with HF21 appears to be all part of the same thing. A drive by those who wish to remain at the top to stay there and reduce the chances of others catching up with them in any way.

There is more than just the down vote going on right now and integration of reward benefits. The down voting is all part of providing greater rewards to replace any lost by Steem Inc taking from the reward pool to support community projects. The new Steem Proposal system. While I am told new tech is being utilised to reduce the cost of running servers. Adding to the reward gains that the top witness will get. (majority with 240,000 plus Steem Power). The funding is taken from the only place other members can gain a reward. Reducing again the growth possibility of any new member to the platform.

Maybe on that first page people should read. Get rewarded for bloging and the rest of the platform will try reduce what you can get for it. 33% less than before with a reduced personal vote value cutting out some of your curating reward. If a newbie could even get some with that small amount of Steem. Oh I forgot they can vote to certain posts that always get voted by big votes and gain from that reward. (not a circle jerk though.) Also still boosting those bigger accounts bigger. Decreasing again the chances for a new account to grow.

This spiral goes on level after level. It is the rest of us on the platform that keep the platform going though.

 https://files.steempeak.com/file/steempeak/thehive/RKgNZgPM-bar20120rainbow.jpg

All in all I see something with very little thought put into it beyond the immediate gains that can be generated for a few. That few seems to hold the majority of the power it seem. Be it the witness or be it whales who put the witness into the positions they hold. It makes no difference. The things being done are being done for the benefit of a wallet. Not the average wallet though.

This post will not do anything to change the minds or let those same minds see things they appear not to. Things are automated. There is no way to ensure every post on te chain gets read. The trending page still sucks and shows nothing but cliche promoted postings. Instead of purchased votes the same names will appear day after day week after week gaining rewards for posting absolutely next to nothing but a picture or two and 500 words. 150 from the advertisement at the end of the smaller spaced post.

The number of words is not give a post value or the time it might take to create the post. Nor does the number of pictures. The value of the votes to the post do not determine the value either or portray the quality held within. It only shows the placement of the bigger votes. Restricts the opportunity of other postings getting to the top of trending unless selected by the chosen.

Without a publication of what is considered to be a standard for a post of acceptance. With admission that the quality or content will not determine if a post is voted on. It is which bigger vote likes you. I should probably have the boob operation to try get more votes.

Maybe I am just thinking to big to see the finer detail of this present effort. At some point we are all blind to something.

I actually do read the post, sometimes I do comment, but then again you know that.

The Downvote system is broken, has always been broken, and until it is fixed it will always hold steem back from becoming a mainstream coin. Of course that is just my opinion. A small explanation follows.

If I as a business owner wanted to start to use Steem Block Chain as an additional exposure channel for advertising my products, I would need to ensure that I had more SP than any of my competition could call on, so that in itself makes it very hard to use steem as a product exposure channel. All my work in advertising, promoting, and using steem block chain to get exposure for my product could be simple greyed out by my competition down voting my post. Plain, simple easy to do if you have a lot of SP, or can call on the masses to do the down voting for you then you can claim your hands are clean.

One group of products, for business use case of Steem Token, for people to promote themselves or there products has just been shown how broken the down vote system is. This can happen with any other business endeavor an individual wants to try starting up.

I myself do not like the dlike post, I rarely vote on an actifit post, and a lot of other promotional type post, but they are targets now for down votes. Steem is not a business friendly token, and until the Down Vote system is fixed it is my opinion steem will never be a business token , and always relegated to the semi social side of internet lifes experience. I still have hope it can mainstream one day, and I am not totally down of Steem Token, it is just the reality of my view point and opinion, from a non-business, non-crypto, non-expert in any thing, just a casual user of the Steem Block Chain, because it has fewer troll type activities than most other social sites, but seems to becoming more mainstreamish social type place like toxic facebook, and youtube.

When they removed the page view counter from the pages that was when I first started to question the viability of Steem as a Business Token. The reason's given for it were patently false. page counters and page view software has been around for a very long time, a lot of the advertisers use it, and even google is capable of using it with out it being gamed, But with the bid bots, and the large number of votes, and the "Promotion" factor, it revealed the lies, no views on the pages of so called trending post.

Yeah, repression has always been a successful business model.

Just look at how well the former USSR did while it was running its repressive governance.

Bloody fantastic, wasn't it!

I see Steem at the moment as nothing more than an exaggeration of the corrupt policies used in real life. The very same things that are opposed there a few impose here.

I read and upvote your posts. I just do not comment a lot. I am one of those people that are not liked much either. I do not post a lot either because the times it takes to make a post are not worth the reward and that is some of the problems on Steemit.

I do not use bots, I do not make enough here to have the funds to "buy" a vote. I mean to really even try to make any Steem here you have to post 5 times a day and I have too much other stuff to do in my life besides sitting on the computer making posts, just being honest, I see some people doing that and that is their life I guess. I hope you are having a great day!

I agree about the earning potential.
Mostly I do not read any posts. Just time wise it is not feasible for me to spend that much time reading. Most of the time I will see something wrong in what someone said and start a big hullabaloo if I say something.

The only reason I was able to use the bots is cause I was powering down the Steem to use for the votes.

I do think If I can find a way to build up a decent asset here, It can be used for investment into a physical world project that can benefit us all in various ways. It's all a long way off yet at my present growth rate But pennies make pounds.

Like you said it is the people I know posts I read, or at least as many as I can. I think that is the way it is with most people on Steemit. I think many just like to fight in the comments and bring on the drama.

If we could find a useful way to use Steem in the real world I believe it would go through the roof, some have tried but it did not work so well. It has to be something that people will need for sale not just a want or an impulse buy.
