STEEM provides an option, it's true, but only if you put in effort into both writing and curating. You'll probably also have to do other things to attract an audience. One thing I've found frustrating here is that there are cliques that build up to boost each other's work - even when the work they produce is crap. They get lots of money and reputation unfairly.
