Having woken up on 8:36am Changde time this beautiful Thursday morning without any sign of an incoming jetlag was to me like having sugar coated cottoncandy for breakfast.
Although I don't know if that's a good thing in second consideration but waking up definitely was!
Regarding breakfast I prefer soup or tasty ricenoodles with veggies! For tomorrow I got mango from the supermarket.
Yep! That Mango is totally covered in plastic!
After having a little morning- and welcome talk with Rocco who's new roommate I now am I brushed my teeth and set my foot outdoors and rushed down the stairs to the Hannoversche Kaffemanufaktur which is basically right around the corner.

This article made me laugh. In malls in China they are setting up pods where husbands can sit and play video games while their wives shop. But I changed it to partner, there are women too that want to game while their man needs a suit. The pods are pretty spacious, they come with a chair and a monitor and you sit inside of it and play a game. Think of it like a phone booth with a chair... and a video game.
This kind of reminds me of a play pen for kids or a place to keep kids busy while you shop or eat. Except this is for grown men. Now, granted, I probably would try one, but still, at that point, why not just stay home. If you are really that separate from your partner, do you really need to go with them. I thought playing on my phone was bad :p. But hey, I'm still a thumbs up, because, ya, gaming is awesome. We had this back in the day but we called them arcades :p.
What do you think?
Here is the article for more info:

In this report I talk about the recent news that Russia's largest bank, Sberbank, has started dealing in physical gold on the Shanghai Gold Exchange. I also look at the threat to the dollar's status as a reserve currency from the New Silk Road plan being implemented by China
It wasn’t such a killer hot day, the sun was hidden by some overcast weather making it doable to walk around in the afternoon. Often in Dalian it is not deathly hot; I can only imagine how much hotter and hazy it is in the south of China where most of my Chinese expat friends are located, troopers. I hate cockroaches.
I wandered down to the food vendors I usually dodge this time of year; due to food safety concerns. I have watched countless shops open then close suddenly after a few months, even when they had line ups out the door just a week ago; people got sick and gossiped, the end.
I like and trust this shop because they keep the m
“大学之大 ，不在于大楼，而在于大师。” 可是这句话或许并没有引起真正的理解，只见一个个大学的新校区面积越来越大，高楼越来越多，但是真正做学问的大师真的是越来越少。”
There are many stones in the campuses of many universities in China, these stones are taken as gifts sent by the graduated students who become very rich after their graduation, sending stones to university is a popular trend in China.
But the problem is a university in China is more like a business other than what it

Bauze breakfast time
Not knowing how to spell words right yet I am writing the name of the dish according to how it sounds like thinking out loud in my mind.
That doesn't always help though...
Yesterday evening I was asking one of my Chinese coworkers if they like Bauze. She didn't understand what I was talking about at all. So either she's not Chinese at all as it's a pretty common breakfast or I need to improve my Chinese pronounciation.
Probably last one ...
The high yards of coffee - Changde's HKM
Anyways, I enjoyed a cabbage filled Bauze, a spicy one and one with sweet red bean paste.
The cabbage filled one reminded me of Russian piraschki which are basically made the same but instead of steamed either deep fried or baked and mostly stuffed with potato

The Cultural Bureau of Beijing has published a statement to the media, Friday explaining that unspecified misdeeds of the 23-year-old Canadian pop star meant that he would no longer be welcome on Chinese stages. OUCH!
Justin Bieber is a gifted singer, no doubt, but he is also a controversial young foreign idol, the bureau said while responding to a fan's request for a
detailed explanation about the absence of China dates during Bieber's upcoming world tour.
As far as we are concerned, he has engaged in a series of bad behaviors, both in his social life and during a previous performance in China, which caused discontent among the public.

The Chinese authorities have banned images of Winnie the Pooh because of references to China’s leaders:
Do you think this kind of images should be banned?
Part 2 of our analysis on the NEO Smart Economy, follow the link to catch up on Part 1. Today’s focus shifts to the Economics of the NEO Blockchain and is targeted for those interested in how rewards are generated and the schedule it will follow.
Every blockchain has a different ecosystem and NEO is no different. As discussed in part 1, NEO grants shares (what you would buy on an exchange) that give you voting rights and the right to dividends in the form of GAS. Which in turn allows the holder to pay for their use of a NEO share. Here is a brief list of what holding each asset is good for.

A research team in China made a paper that succeeded in Quantum Teleportation between the ground and the communication satellite using the "quantum communication satellite" launched last summer, and the paper such as physics, mathematics, computer science etc. Which is posted it on the public website arXiv. Quantum teleportation between the ground and communication satellites is the first time for this research and attracts attention as a major step toward the realization of quantum networks.
In the first place, what is quantum teleportation? From the theory, quantum teleportation is a mechanism to transmit information from one photon to another using quantum enta
So much to share on my feeling about my visit to China. Some great and some interesting and others not what I would have expected.
This first week has been a full one. Sometimes it feels like one of those vacations that you will need a vacation after the vacation to get some rest. But since I got sick at the beginning, I have taken a few days off from the sightseeing, to not over do it.
This trip to China has a few purposes. First, my wife is on a business trip for the first two weeks and I get to see China for the first time. Secondly, this trip is also for us. We got married last year in the states and never had a ceremony. To my wife and I, that is not a big issue. But her family wants to have a ceremony for us. A traditional Chinese wedding.
So the last weekend of our trip, her family is organizing a ceremony in the village that she grew up in and her mother and older brother still live. This is a village in Putian, about a half hour drive from downtown. I had the opportunity to take photos of the olde
