Color pencils Prismacolor Premier, Faber Castell Polychromos;
I ask that you prepare yourself for some very old artwork. I wanted to present the wonderful people on Steemit a history of my artwork and see where I have come from. Please be warned: these are all mostly very ugly.
I do not have much digital artwork pre-dating 2007, when I was first presented with a tablet. As soon as I had been gifted with a tablet to draw with, I had pretty much abandoned the pen & paper. I would of course doodle in notebooks and texts during class, but I stopped attempting to learn more about any traditional tools.
Ah yes, the horrid elementary school years. I was a huge manga fan back in my younger years. I took a lot of inspiration from Shaman King.
TinyArtChallange- Week 2
Summer SeaChallenge by @oceansoul13, the link to the challenge is shown below:
Summer Sea, I thought that I would create a tiny art from the perspective of a Steemian on a beach looking out to the sea, with the Sun shining brightly:
This is my first painting that I created a time lapse video for.
It is acrylic paint on a 16 x 20 inch canvas. It is titled Space Flow.
Here is the time lapse video. First video I ever uploaded to youtube. (I actually had to delete it and upload it again after a couple of years, because youtube started getting strict with copyrighted music on videos)
Recently I have been learning how to use animation software and I decided to create some sort of cartoon like clip from what I painted here. So I came up with this, I guess it is kind of the idea I had in my head when I originally created this painting.
I figured this would be a good entry for Digital Artist Showcase no.2 - Digital Art Contest hosted by @gmuxx here
Hello Steemit friends:
Lately I have been up to my neck in drawing projects. This scrapbook project was particularly urgent because my friend, Sylvie, is moving back to Saint Lucia tomorrow. We wanted to send her back with our love and memories. It was fun making the scrapbook and a little awkward primarily because Sylvie hates taking pictures and we can't make a scrapbook without pictures. Every time I made attempts to take pictures of her to add to the scrapbook, she would run away. I completely understand because I, too, dislike taking pictures. However, I decided to deny myself, and have been taking more pictures of myself whenever I am out and about, just in case I decide to blog about it. It is really strange for me and sometimes it makes me feel as if I am acting narcissistic in some way. One day I might just grab a random stranger off the street and ask him/her to take a picture with me. I'm not sure which is less awkward, taking a selfie or taking a picture with a stranger. I'll make
Hi, fellow Steemians! I participate in Dragon Art Contest by @kristyglas.
The point is to create your own dragon.
I never used to draw dragons, it’s the very first one.
My dragon’s name is Lotta. It’s definitely she, look at her beautiful lashes :D
I decided to use traditional media - watercolor because I love it more than any others medias. I choose calm colors because Lotta is calm outside but it just seems so. She is a playful child inside, she likes to fool around. But there are no problems with her. She likes to watch cartoons. She always has a lot of ideas about how to spend time. Sometimes she does not know how to relax and we need to learn this together. Study together is more cheerfully and is not so scary than doing it alone. Lotta loves to communicate with other dragons and people, but she is an introvert, she needs tim
A pen/pencil portrait of a woman. Her looking away creates an interesting composition and she has quite a subtle expression. The dramatic lighting and contrast in her eyes creates a dramatic piece.
Hope you liked the drawing!

Not only did I develop my own characters for the graphic novel I started and never finished (more also seen here ), but I also started to develop characters and a story line about PIRATES! At the time, I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them, whether to start another graphic novel, to write a bunch of short books, or write up a screenplay and turn the whole thing into a movie. (Can we say overly ambitious?) I never did finish drafting up the full cast, nor did I finish the story line, but I've never forgotten about them, and I'd like to pick them back up and see where they take me. The idea of working toward another graphic novel sounds a bit too time consuming for my current situation, but maybe if I can get working on a story board the rest will follow.
I'm a pretty big fan of the
fantasy/magic theme, and plan on throwing som
Today I woke up and decided to draw something for my new found community, Steemit! This doodle means a lot to me because it consists of the things I love. :-)
old crayons I have since elementary school
sketch pad, pencil, ball point pen and a black marker.
And so, my colored pencils adventure continues. As I mentioned before, I am on a quest to be a better traditional artist - using colored pencils as media. It is undoubtedly a struggle to me still, but I want to think that I am slowly getting the hang of it.
I therefore put myself to a test - draw myself. Draw a self-portrait. Help you put a face to my name. And below is the result.
I know, I have really big eyes. They are the common target of ridicule among me and my friends. I have a huge helipad of a forehead. I have eyebags; in my defense, though, the reference picture was taken when I had no sleep at all (I was cramming my thesis manuscript).&n
Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, born in Alcala de Henares Spain, on September 29, 1547, was a poet and novelist son of Rodrigo de Cervantes and Leonor de Cortinas. Probably resided in diverse populations of Spain to have to accompany his father, who wanted to improve his profession of surgeon.
Towards 1551, Rodrigo de Cervantes moved with his family to Valladolid. For debts, he was imprisoned for several months and his assets were seized. In 1556 he went to Cordova to pick up the inheritance of Juan de Cervantes, the writer's grandfather, and flee from the creditors.
In 1569 he left Spain, because of some problem with justice, and settled in Rome, where he entered the militia, in the company of Don Diego de Urbina, with whom he participated in the Battle of Lepanto (1571). In this naval combat against the Turks was wounded of an archabuzazo in the left hand, that was stilled to him. When, after several years of garrison life in Sardinia, Lombardy, Naples and Sicily
Art is freedom can be able to bend things which as most people see as a straight line.
Art is the skill or a technical skill of human activities in creating some visual things intended to be appreciated for their beauty or emotional power .Even you do something its related to art, We know art since we are in childhood because art is something that we cannot leave from our life even if you make some sound it also can be called an art. Art can bring us joy and peacefull live, Because if you wanna make some pretty things you have to add some art in your work to make it beauty.
It's a little hot outside, so I decided to paint something a little refreshing and fun. This is my painting of a Jellyfish Parfait, why a jellyfish parfait? because parfaits are a delicious summertime treat and because jellyfish (with such a tasty name) really should have a more appetizing look.
I started with the background (well after the outline) and decided for a look of movement and direction to go with that bubble burst in the lower left hand corner with shafts of color, going from a light blue into a bright green pushing up and outward.
I decided to make the jellyfish purple, purple goes nicely with blue because they're not so far off from each other on the color wheel but at the same time in has a nice pop against the green that gives it that vibrant look and feel. I also added more bubbles around the bottom left to rea

Steemians, meet one of my anime hubbies... (lol)
This character is from a sports anime, Haikyuu!!
Haikyuu!! is a volleyball animation. It focuses on the rivalry of various high schools in Japan regarding the said sport.
Personally, I love sports animation... So, if you're into sports, watch Haikyuu!! <3
Going back to this character... his name is Kuroo Tetsurou, the captain of Nekoma (a high school volleyball team in Tokyo). Well, he doesn't belong to the main team but he's one of my faves. He has this goofy yet serious personality... which I find really attractive. :) He can be really childish at times, but you can always count on him! ^^
About the drawing... :)
Sketch... sketch... sketch.... (He doesn't look exactly like this... it's a fanart, let's make him more attractive.. lol)
I bring with me today's sketches of the day! I had some time today to work on a few projects. One of which is the Dragon Art Contest hosted by @kristyglas, who by herself is a fantastic artist in her own right. I highly suggest checking out her work!
So far I have only brainstormed an idea, and done the very basic sketch work out. I will take my time on this to create a good entry! Growing up, dragons were some of my favorite things to draw. However I have not done so in years! It will take some time to get used to them once more. My preliminary sketch is of a beetle-type reptile! Haha
Anyhow! Let's get to the images!
First off, this was a semi-old doodle that I retooled a bit:
Of course, it features my favorite original character, Karssa. I wanted to work on gripping and hands specifically, a
I drew a new piece in my new artseries, this series I will be sharing here first ... so you guys are first viewers to my newest pieces and my process ... this is the colored result
Here is the speedvideo of the coloring process
here is my drawing
A new drawing from me. In the picture I pictured: the deer is pulling Solneshko with the Steemit logo. For me, the deer is a fabulous animal. Steemit for me is something kind and bright as the sun. My fairy deer draws a big sun, which will bring luck to everyone-all users of Steemit!
I love you all! I wish you good luck with all your heart.
Have a good mood!
I ask to proceed to the vote!
Hello guys :)
I'm back today with a picture that i painted in memory of a little bird.
I found it while i was walking outside with my father's dog, and it was clearly hurt as it struggled to take wing. My dog was on the long leash that day, and as soon as he saw it, he sprinted off towards him.
I tried to get to it first, but my dog was faster, and grabbed the little guy...and in a matter of seconds, he took it's life and ate him whole.
Of course, my dog is made for this kind of stuff, so i couldn't be angry at him. But it was a gruesome thing to see, and reminded me why i didn't have it in me anymore for years to eat meat. I felt really sick as i heard the bones cracking in my dogs fangs.
I wished i could've saved the bird, but nature wasn't feeling it that day :( At least my dog was very happy about it, as he hyperactively ran around after, looking at me with a big grin on his face, celebrating the time of his life..oh boi.
Hope you guys enjoy the picture! Until next time :')
