There is a vocal group of gamers out there on the internet that believes that gameplay should always be the most important aspect of a game and I’m wondering whether that’s true or not. So I decided to take a look and analyze the top rated games of the generation and see if I could agree with them or not.
Using this generation alone some of the highest rated and loved games of the generation (by metacritic) are as follows
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - 97
Persona 5 - 93
Uncharted 4 - 93
MGS 5 - 93
Witcher 3 - 92
Bloodborne - 92
Having played all these (most to completion) I can say that only two of these have a gameplay focus which are Bloodborne and MGS5.
So if you saw last episode, you know i was definitely strugglin' a lil bit.... but that's not gonna stop me from getting back on for another video! Unfortunately things didn't get much brighter today either though haha. Enjoy these L's, from me to you!
Greetings steemians! The following is the backstory for @patelincho's (Ravastina) and my (Urolin) character for the D&D campaign starting tomorrow on the Whaleshares Discord server:
Ravastina was a High Elf of a family known for its magical prowess. Coming from a long line of powerful wizards it was no surprise when she began showing signs of magical talent at a young age. So, her parents sent her to study with Walrusian, the most powerful wizard in all of Elvenhome on the Eastern shores of Star Lake. With her high intelligence and natural magical proficiency, she quickly became his top student. One day they noticed some dark smoke across the lake and it appeared to be coming from the vicinity of his good friend Azurhan Dophic the sorcerer's tower near the Stones of Prophecy. So they set out across the lake to investigate.
Azurhan had never been trusted by the people in the township. Rumors of him having dragon blood in his veins led to the
I used to play video games, quite a bit of them actually. Often at least 6 hours a day, every day.
It was one of the only things I could really care and think about, a place where you don't have to worry about anything.
This dysfunctional lifestyle started when I was bullied out of my soccer team at the age of 15, before that I didn't have the slightest interest in computers and anything that happens on a screen. Except for movies, did I like movies.
Playing through massive online games such as Runescape, World of Warcraft, Everquest II, Rappelz, Aion Online, Voyage Century Online, Mabinogi, Age of Conan, Final Fantasy XIV, etc.
The list could literally go on how many MMO's I played. Quite a few of these has been played for at least 100 hours, but games such as Runescape, Warcraft and Everquest were played a lot longer. When I say a lot longer, it really is a lot longer.
After getting bored by Massively Multiplayer Online Role*P*layling
Unturned is a free to play zombie survival game on Steam. Your main objective in the game is to survive and thrive like in most zombie survival games. You play on one of the current maps that are based on real countries like Canada, Russia, and the USA. Unturned was created by one person named Nelson Sexton. The game is mostly based on the multiplayer aspect and is constantly being updated with new guns, maps, and expansions.
Grand Theft Auto V Online, is an action and free-world video game developed by Rockstar North that presents / displays the characteristic of being an online multiplayer of the saga Grand Theft Auto. Its launch took place the first day of October of 2013, days after the announcement of Grand Theft Auto V.
The game since its announcement attracted many players, because all those who were playing or are fans of GTA V joined the online version. All these players with optimism that the game would be a success and so it was. Many players commented that the game was magnificent, as one of the best ads Rockstar had made in a long time.
But as nothing lasts forever, the player population has declined dramatically in the game, this is something that Rockstar is concerned about. I particularly thought that the game would be totally forgotten, because nobody would play it anymore. Since the game is always about the same, it was ne
I'm starting a new series showing off my favorite classic video game systems from my collection. My girlfriend and I make a point of going garage sale-ing each weekend and frequently come home with a bunch of cool video games and classic systems. We run an Ebay store and sell most of the games, but I like to keep some for my collection. Some of the systems are ones I have collected over the years. I am a child of the 80's and I played with my Nintendo Entertainment System after school everyday! That system made me admire video games and from there my collection has grown.
Today I am showing off my Atari Jaguar system. I only have 2 games for it, and I will show them off in the pictures below. I eventually want to get a copy of Aliens VS Predator. That's supposed to be one of the better games for the system. The Atari Jaguar was marketed as the first 64 bit system in the US and it was released in 1993 wh
Greetings Gamers, I have been playing the dota for about 7 years and these days I have been studying the game in depth and I find that it has many details that make this a wonderful game. There are those who criticize the game and it is understandable that not everyone has the same tastes, but really until you analyze in depth you realize that it is a great game that deserves all my dedication to show them little by little what it houses.
Continuing with the introduction of dota 2, today I will continue talking to you a little more in depth since it has enough details of the map, vision inside the game, towers and barracks, line creeps and a specific hero illustrating how this hero in battle Attributes of hero and an explanation of the different abilities of this one in video.
As well me
Yup.. saying it out loud or writing it down doesn't exactly make it sound any better but it is what it is.. that is what I do!
In today's post I'd like to share with you one of my very first painting commissions or at least a part of it I have recorded in photos. It isn't the best since it was in my early days as a miniature painter but it is interesting for me to see how much I've evolved and how my painting style has changed throughout time. Hope you enjoy the little fellas and the little information about the models and the painting on them.
So this was for a friend of mine - a Space Orc army for the Warhammer 40k game. It is a very fun army to pain since Orcs and Goblins have always been the race bringing a bit of humour to the pretty dark world of Warhammer. They believe in things and the things happen simply because of that very much like in the Terry Pratchett's Disc World. T
If you have ever played an online game, specifically a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game, you know how much of a problem bot use can be. Game developers hire teams of people to do nothing other than get rid of people who use bots, short for robots, that will do remedial tasks without needing a break. In addition multiple accounts can be used so an army of fake players will do jobs that are profitable. In my opinion there is much that can be learned from the online bot economy for the real world’s coming automated future.
The primary reason for regular players to use bots in a video game is in order to level their characters and bypass what is perceived as the boring part of a game. Other than that, there are people who use an army of bots to earn in game gold and sell it for real world dollars. These are the people that really cause the biggest impact on the community, because they sell all of the objects
It's been a while since I've done of these.
Every time I play through Mega Man X, as I recently did once again, I want to write a review about it. I never have, however, because I get nervous since I don't trust my skills as a writer to truly convey how great of a game Mega Man X is. I fear that I would botch the review somehow, and not succeed in properly explaining why the game is damn near perfect, and the most close to perfection I've ever experienced a game get to in all my years as an avid gamer. Needless to say Mega Man X means a whole lot to me, and a bunch of great childhood memories have to do with Mega Man X.
But I finally decided to give it a shot. So, let's see how this goes. I will try not to let my fanboyism get in the way, and while I find the game to be near flawless, it's my job to find the flaws that there are to be found.
Let's back track a little first.

Hey guys, I'm ggteixeira and for today's post we'll be starting up a new series revolving around my playthrough of the game Mount & Blade: Warband. More specifically we'll be following the story and life of my new character I created in-game, John Smith.
Mount & Blade: Warband is a single-player sandbox open-world role-playing strategy game where you create a character before joining into the fictional medieval war-torn lands of Calradia. Warband's single-player is packed with hundreds upon hundreds of hours of content including warring kingdoms, a working economy, battles to fight in and so much more. The options are almost endless and how you choose to live your life in Calradia is up to you. Want to be a rich merchant that owns tons of property? How about an infamous ban

Crash Bandicoot undoubtedly became one of the most remembered games in the history of the PlayStation, that is why it generated great nostalgia among its followers the fact that there wasn't a game of this beloved character for the third console of Sony, in the middle of the new advances that presented the video games, the famous Crash Bandicoot had been forgotten only in the memory of its most faithful followers, only with some apparitions in the recent deliveries of its creative studio "Naughty Dog" as it was his appearance in "Uncharted 4".
I have been doing digital painting for 2-3 years now but I taught myself how to do everything through trial and error. I developed a style that I didn't really like because it relied too heavily on the blending tool and it made all of my paintings have a wet/oil-like feel to them. I wanted to have a structured course to start from scratch when it came to techniques I used so I signed up for schoolism's intro to digital painting for 15 dollars a month.
The first lesson is about creating images through darkness as we started out with a very very dark canvas and slowly built on lighter and lighter colors. I am very pleased with my results for the first assignment and I didn't use the blending brush once! I feel like I am learning so much and the course is very informative and easy to follow.
The Steem Poker League is locked in a race to find the greatest donkey hunter in the history of mankind; and the competition is heating up. @btc.ctb still has a slight edge, and time is running out for everyone else. This week only @internetguy made any real head way on the board with a knockout of Tuck.
When it's all said, and done, who will reign as the supreme donkey hunter, and raise their manes in victory?! Only time will tell...
Here is where video game console history begins. The predecessor to the Magnavox Odyssey.

@brnofre is still in the lead folks. People are gaining on him, but with only 3 games left, it's gonna be a close match.
Brnofre is going to have to make a strong finish here in the last few games, otherwise, someone most likely will surpass him.
A special shot out to @guyfawkes4-20 for finding a spot in the top 5. Nicely done, sir.
Next game is July 31st, don't miss it.

Good Morning Steemians,
While I am sitting here working at home, its a quiet morning on standby and no one needs me for classes. So I have been reliving my childhood.
I was born in 1979 technically my teens were the 90's but deep down I am an 80's kid which was the best time of my life. I wondered if you would relate or add to some of the things that I loved in the 80s.
There was nothing better than going over to the local shop across the road and renting a movie to watch, at the time some of the movies and storylines where a bit out of there, but some now are classic movies which if we watched today we would still enjoy them.
Batteries not included
I loved this movie, basically it was about an old couple who ran an apartment building with a cafe on the g
