Dear Steemians - here comes the fourth edition Steemian of the Day - the serial outlining great users in the categories we curate. This time we have great beer expert from Croatia who has shown us a lot great Beer and Travel posts during his 3 months on Steemit.
This is what @buzzbeergeek says about himself "Writing on Steemit is always a pleasure, never a chore. One moment I was having a beer with my friend complaining how I would love a freelance job and the next he showed me what occupied him lately.
*Initial disbelief and shock quickly dispersed and led to many happy hours spent with you my dear friends! I am happy I can share my passion, my travels and ultimately much of my life! As you know I am an avid beer tast
Would you read my story to discover how we began this journey together on Steem? Will you share your story with us here in the comments to help us get to know you?
If you read fast like me, I will summarize in this first paragraph starting with the picture of the invitation I got to Steem.
You'll thank me later and WOW he was RIGHT! Of course I waited a month to take action after initially looking @robertgenito's profile and thinking
oh great another social network. A few weeks after that text, I sold my dash masternode and was looking for a new cryptocurrency to invest in. All of a sudden I realized I already knew which one to invest in because not only had @robertgenito had recommended I join Steem but he was responsible for m
Lately I've received a lot of messages from steemit users that are asking for feedback and suggestions regarding their articles.
First of all: thanks for that!
Since a lot of people seem to have the same questions, and a lot of times I'm answering in the same manner, today I'd like to share the given information with a wider audience.
In my today's tutorial video I'm not going to talk about content.
I rather presume that you already have a brilliant idea, an experience, a piece of knowledge or whatever story holding in your hands. It surely is something nobody else is able to provide, and now it's the time to publish it.
Dear Steemians - here comes the third edition Steemian of the Day - the serial outlining great users in the categories we curate. Today our user of the day is a great Turkish German Designer.
But who is @oendertuerk you may ask? Not an easy answer, he is a creative designer with a lot of alternative interests. A turkish guy, grown up and living in the beautiful Düsseldorf, Germany. He is 34 years old and joined steemit just over 1 month ago and claims he likes the platform. We believe him of course 😎. Other than design he is very interested in sciences, research, archeology and ancient cultures. He is always open for new ideas and happy to support others implementing them. You can get in touch with him on steemit.chat - some of his work below:
A topic I write about is my sobriety. Today is 39 days of sobriety! 39 days of finally taking my life back! This is the main reason I started to blog on Steemit. I have failed twice(since I started on Steemit) and if you look through my history you will see two breaks of 3 months long in which I didn't blog. Yep, I failed. And I failed miserably.I've been a member of Steemit for 9 months but I've only really blogged for three months on this platform.
I just joined Steemit and despite seeing its compelling coolness had resigned myself to likely just being a commenter and curator on the platform. My days are already pretty full, being partially disabled with rheumatoid arthritis, and a mum of two who also owns a printing business ( http://www.ticketprinters.co.uk ) and with an unhealthy obsession with cryptocurrency to take care of.
But as I typed another long answer to a question asked on Facebook, whilst simultaneously knowing that my reply would be read to the end by no more than one person (at the most), it occurred to me... I already blog... I just don't get paid for it and none of the people on my friends list have any knowledge of or interest in any of the topics that interest me - economics, anti-authoritarianism in health and politics and crypto.
Hello everyone, my name is Angel. I'm 21 years old and i am from Venezuela. I study computer engineering, although my university is detained (like most in my country) i still learn on my own and i also take advantage of this time to work (from the Internet), besides being able to do what i like is much more profitable than a employment, since a minimum wage here does not exceed $35 as of today. I like everything related to technology and especially innovation, that's why i've been so drawn to this platform.
Yesterday i started to write my introduction but i distracted myself, the time was flying me sailing around here, seeing some posts and trying to understand a little better Steemit and i did not finish the post. That's why yesterday's date xD
Although i spend a lot of time in front of the computer, whether for work, study or just spending time learning new things and meeting people, i also like adventure a
Hello fellow Steemians, here is an original piano piece from my latest album
I plan on posting some live video soon of more piano stuff. Thanks for the love on here!
Dear Steemians - here comes the second edition Steemian of the Day - the serial outlining great users in the categories we curate. Today our user of the day is a great German artist.
@yoganarchista is an artist, writer, poet, model, yogateacher, actress, traveller and filmmaker who joined the steemit community in July 2016. In her blog you can discover a lot of different works she made: paintings and drawings, short stories and poems, experimental short movies she has acted in or wrote the script for, model pictures and editings of them. She also offers to edit your portrait in a psychedelic style for free - check out more here: Her free offers.
She also offers ed
Hello, Steemit! My name is Emmitt, and I heard about Steemit from Wally Canis a Jewish gentleman that comes to our facility and volunteers to teach the residents technology. I do not think that he is a member of Steemit, but his daughter Corey @sykochica is. Although I still do not understand the platform completely, I believe that it may be beneficial for my new project. I am introducing myself and posting my first article to introduce myself and my project formally. The following will give you an idea of how we will be involved in this humanitarian effort going forward. Mercy said Yes is a new project, and many of the components of delivering our message are still in the construction mode. Look for more of these elements coming forth soon.
Focusing on inequalities that exist in the world today and offering opportunities for concerned merciful people to help correct and heal
So this is a bit of a background story to who and why I am who I am.
My names Mike and I'm from Brisbane Australia. Born in the Era of Sir Joh and Bob Hawke we had a fairly smooth childhood, my folks were rich by any means, but everything we had we earnt. From a young age I'd be taken to work on a saturday with my dad to work on trucks. By the time I started high school I could laser align a trailer better than most of the tradesmen there.
During highschool (which I attended with @ausbitbank ) I was that socially awkward kid, didn't fit in to any set sub group, but wasn't a complete loner. This got me interested in IT as well as seeing the world and situations for what they really are and not what we are told they are.
I ended up doing a trade qualification, I'm a Fitter & Turner by profession and have specialised in Pumps and pumping systems for the past 15years.
This has me working in the mining industry a lot, and being on the inside I can see the complete and utter crap that the media tells the g
My name is Darius Shahtahmasebi, I am a writer, lawyer (and father, I suppose). I have been interviewed on international TV in my capacity as a legal/political analyst numerous times (for example, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kv-42H02yr0).
Here are 3 reasons to follow me:
I am currently sitting with a friend who has been listening to me going on and on about Steemit for the last 3 months and he has finally decided to take the plunge and write his introductory post!
I mention this because I have over the last 7 months posted daily on Facebook in the hope that I would be able to convert many to Steemit.
Yet after all my efforts to really spell it out for people, only two FB friends have joined me. Interestingly both of them porn stars!
So it gives me great pleasure to have worked through the night with my old friend (who by the way is not a porn star!) explaining the many intricacies of this platform and helping him optimise his first #introduceyourself post.
It is a great feeling getting new people on board and seeing their eyes light up as they start to understand...
I really look forward to seeing what he has in store for us. He is thinking about the name
This is a long overdue introduction! I have been on this amazing platform for quite some time and I have never properly introduced myself.
Some of you may know me for the delicious recipes I've been creating, usually inspired by traditional Serbian cuisine. Or you might have followed my travel adventures. But, let's cover the basics now.
Firstly, my name is Zeljko, I'm a 28 year old coming from Serbia. I was born in a small town in the west of Serbia called Loznica, but for the last 10 years I’ve been situated in the capital city, Belgrade.!(https://steemitimages.com/DQmRnwfYi46dZqQPudb9S9E27v6vM2n5SsHcRo1njFTnghS/obrada.jpg) !(https://steemitimages.com/DQmZpL2KprS9V4CCxyR8TJa8FUMD45TkheXj55WxPLxKsqA/IMG_20170424_142525.jpg)
I am Telecommunication Engineer, but I never had a chance (for now) to develop my career in that directio
Hello Steemit, Esteemed Guests and Future Digital Friends
This is my first post of what I hope will be many in this new(for me) and exciting platform.
This is also my first foray into the digital-cryptocurrency realm.
As I merely begin to scratch the surface I can already say that I am astounded.
I am not 100% unfamiliar with cryptocurrency or in turn crypto anarchy. I have heard many whispers over the years, mostly positive, but never enough to make me take that extra step and actually take the time to invest myself both mentally and financially. And boy am I sad it took me this long to see the light. The sentence
What the FUCK was I thinking? comes to mind.
The potential not only of steemit but the entire idea around it and everything that it seems to represent gives me hope for a better brighter future free from the tyrannical reach of the Empire.
With cryptocurrencies at an all time high and
To do this story justice I need to give you all a rundown on my history in the United States formal education system. Just a hint, I'm not a fan, but I have prospered inside it nonetheless. This should be a fun ride <3 For humor's sake and to hopefully get you to stick to this blog, here's a picture of teenage me.
Early in my childhood I was a massive book worm, you'd be hard-pressed to find me actually speaking to other students. My time was important and limited, and it was often spent with my nose in a Stephen King novel. Or with my eyeballs glued to a GameBoy Color on the bus, and you knew something was wrong if I didn't have a pair of cheap over the ear headphones on, connected to a Walkman Cassette Player. My friend circle was small and short-lived typically, I didn't keep them long and when they existed they weren't particularly exciting. I aced tests without trying, homework was done before I even left the class, I had good relationships with my teachers and didn't
I know, I know, I'm a bit late in introducing myself. After spending just about all my time in the cryptocurrency rabbithole, daily life caught up with me with a vengeance and I simply had no more spare time.
So first things first, here I am, with photographic evidence of my existence and at the same time proof of houseboat. Sorry for the squint, but not only is it one of the incredibly rare sunny days today in the Netherlands, but I'm looking at the very bright and very very white side of my houseboat. So bright in fact that even though I shot the picture facing the sun, I'm still properly lit, albeit from a strange angle.
Here's a little of my background and short bio.
So I'm JoeyD on bitcointalk, bitsharestalk, mumble and quite a few communication channels that I've most likely forgotten my login credentials for. I've been part of the bitshares community since a little after the l
So clearly in Hawaii's cost of living is really very high. EXAMPLE : $300,ooo family home in the mainland is 3-5 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2-4 car parking area and a big nice yard, 2 story home. $300,000 in hawaii will give you a piece of shit one bedroom, one bath, and one parking, townhouse or condo/apartment. RENT average in mainland is $500-$800 for a one bedroom. As for hawaii and damn STUDIO is $1100-1300. I'm currently paying $1400 for a one bedroom (place is GHETTO AS FUCK). YES BELIEVE it or NOT! SEE IT FOR YOURSELF.
My point here is I make $56,000 a/year with a full time job and a part-time job added together. With my income here in HAWAII. I could only afford rent of $1400 a month excluding utilities, bills, food, car, everyday living ETC....pretty much living month to month paychecks. My future GOAL is to be able to buy a nice decent 3 BEDROOM FAMILY HOME IN HAWAII which ranages
My daughter and I have been crazy again - she wearing her swim goggles but saying for the first time Steem - can you hear it?
