One thing is..
So you have the left. The leeches, the coercives, those who believe they own and control other people and the fruits of their creation. Whatever we want to call them.
The reality is *it doesn't make sense* and doesn't produce desirable results when you seek to control other people. (We're just so used to it happening that we take it for granted.)
So...
They'd lose every argument.
(Meh you know what I mean.. they might win some because they're good at arguing or whatever, but they're doing it with the worse hand.)
In general they get crushed, at actually meaningful or conceptual topics. And gradually it would cause a shift away from those beliefs.
So now there's a sideshow instead..

So it's almost like a buffer to guard the meat and potatoes. Like a deliberately stupid booby trap, where if reasonable minds focus on "lulz CNN so stupid", that's kind of fine for them.
It's better to lose at "Trump vs CNN" type of fluff arguments than have the battles at substance arguments and lose those instead.
Moral of the story: If you have a bad ideology, you need people to not really think about it. 🤷🤷
