We hiked for 30 km above 4000 mtrs to set up solar heater village project in one village. Before leaving we visited confluence of Indus zanskar river. ZANSKAR almost frozen, Indus blue and cold. And I had a desire to visit kailash mansarovar to visit the source of Indus. 2 days later I'm in rishikesh taking my last dips in cold and fast Ganga which almost froze my ears. I love Ganga so much but now I want to go back to Narmada. A minute before I am about to leave the apartment in rishikesh a shaky earthquake shook us a little bit. Perhaps it's a sign that it's time to leave. Our booked train is cancelled 4 hours before because of the reasons unknown and hitesh still has to get refund for it. My experience with last 4 trains journey is: first train: 6 hours late, second train is 13 hours late, 3rd train is 24 hours late and last train got cancelled. Despite all this consistency of Indian railway we still chose to go with the train and by surprise we found train available in tatkal.
In train, all the males whenever they got the opportunity, they looked at Catalina as she is some pink elephant and yet we say all the men are not the same but Yes, most of the men are like this only as Hitesh rightly said "all people have eyes but some are upgraded and they have scanners in their eyes and whenever they will see a woman they will just make it active." I guess we alĺ know it but it's normalised.
The train was only 2 hours late which was a happy surprise. We reached Jabalpur where we were considered foreigner perhaps And people judged us by the appearance we had and asked whether we want to go to osho ashram.
Good thing about Jabalpur: food is still very cheap here (6 plates of poha and 6 cups of chai costed only 90 rupees) and people are still very helpful.
The 220 km something bus ride to Amarkantak was a long 8 hours journey but the bus was nice and scenery full of trees and landscapes. The bus stopped at almost bus station but there was no official tea break on the way. And if you are woman you have to hold your pee for a very very long time.
We saw Narmada while crossing the place caĺled dindori. Very less water and yet it looked so pretty and suddenly it reminded me of my bicycle ride and I see myself sleeping on the ghat at the same spot.
While I'm typing alĺ this Hitesh just says "you get cozy in the bed and next minutes it's time to Permission."
