body | "> May 2019 be YOUR year! Your year to improve one’s self, to earn more, to achieve more and to love more too!
Firstly, I will have to say say very big Amen to this wonderful prayer because we all hope to achieve this in 2019.
> With all those resources at one’s finger tips though, I’m curious to know if they actually do work?
It actually depends on the individual involved. If you are the type that makes new year resolutions and you don't work towards it, there is no how you can achieve your goals or aims about the resolution you've made. It always advisable to work towards every resolution you make this year so that you can achieve it.
Lastly, I will also say it also has to do with one's fate or destiny because there are some people who will work very drastically towards their resolution but they don't sometimes achieve their aims. In life, I believe what is meant for us will surely be for us and we isn't meant for us will never be ours. We just have to keep trying our best to get what we want.
> Now, maybe if we tried to achieve these resolutions or goals based on an “intrinsic motivation”, it might just work instead. Why? An intrinsic motivation is based on a motivation that derives from the individual itself. Doing something out of internal passion or desire for instance, without thinking of the “reward” at the very end of it.
I strongly corroborate with your point @crypto.piotr even though most people make use of extrinsic motivation because of the reward or fame or money such that they aren't bothered about intrinsic motivation.
But when we also look at this this another point of view, I think extrinsic motivation may sometimes increase the passion for work. A good example or scenario can be traced to someone who works very diligently in his or her work place whom get rewarded by his boss. It will be observed that the motivation to do more will surely be there because of the reward such person is earning.
Some people who quited Steemit back then were making use of extrinsic motivation because they were doing it for the reward and not for intrinsic motivation (passion or love).
Thanks for sharing this great post with love from @hardaeborla 💞" |
