Hey Kid
Damn where do I start ..I know even at the age of 10 things are at a huge disadvantage for you. I know you carry the weight of someone much older than you and you feel it’s unfair, and guess what ..it is! But for everyone else, because pain is steroids for growth, and you’re going to attain knowledge that people will learn when their hair falls out, when their vision starts failing. So don’t look up to the heavens asking ‘why me?!’ Look to the stars and tell the bigman, ‘I got this if you got me.’
Listen here kid, life is harsh, a bitch, and difficult …this will never change, only you can. Only your perception of life can change, because although it is all them things, it is also beautifully balanced, heaven and delicately blissful. So don’t put your faith into people or materialistic things, these elements of life can make you ill, even kill you. Put faith into yourself, your dreams, your objectives ..and I know you don’t have a relationship with him right now ..but God. You see ..putting your faith, energy, and love into others over yourself can be catastrophic, people may take it for granted and not reciprocate, making you feel unjust. That’s not their fault, that is the way life is, so put yourself before anybody else. After all ..an ill pilot can’t steer a plane full of passenger’s to their destination safely.
I know your childhood is difficult kid, but there are good times. Cherish these moments, prize them in the moment. I know you and many of the peers in your generation are so eager to grow up, but you will find childhood is perhaps the closest thing to freedom. You do not have to work in a shitty job, with a shitty salary just for a survival that feels like death. You do not have to ration food, just to pay the bills. You haven’t got to feel the force of a society that picks popularity over talent, morals and justice. So enjoy the summer days chasing the ice cream van with your muddy jeans that you promised not to get dirty.
I know that last paragraph may get you wondering what is the point of growing up, but trust me it is worth it. Furthermore don’t worry, I am on a mission to escape the 9-5 life, maybe I will write a letter to my current self on my next birthday.
Love Your Biggest Fan
