Warning: Steem witnesses executed a hard fork on 2020-05-20, seizing 23.6M STEEM from 65 accounts. The funds were transferred to an account named @community321, the ownership (and intentions) of which have not been revealed. The witnesses claim to have been targeting accounts which defended against a hostile takeover in early March, but at least 2 accounts on the list have been inactive for over 4 years.

Maximize Your Audience With YouTube Videos 5 Minutes or Less

This is just my personal advice and recommendation to the many people posting their own YouTube blogs.

Let's face it - Steemit is in its infancy and everyone is looking to discover new interesting or engaging posts. Something that I think is important, is to create engaging articles and videos that are succinct and to the point.

New user are looking in the new feed and if you are like me, when you click a video and it shows up being over ten minutes, I tune out and click something else.

There are many that post great informational YouTube videos that are longer than 5 minutes, but most of them have a small group of people that consistently watch every video.

So until you have a group that watches and comments on almost all your posts, I would advise you to

You are welcome to disagree with me and comment if you agree or not, but I doubt I will be alone in this stance. Some new users may have success with long videos and posts, and I do sometimes read and watch longer ones, but I also value my time and simply may not have 15 or 20 minutes to dedicate to one video. Especially when I could have learned some great nuggets of information from four or five shorter posts.
