月が満ちています。あなたは8月の満月を楽しみましたか？

The moon is full. Did you enjoy the full moon in August?

満月は、人々の心理状態にも影響を与えると言われていますよね。月のエネルギーが最高潮となり、気分は高揚し、事故や凶悪な犯罪などが起こりやすい時期とされています。
そういえば、狼男が本性を現すのも満月の夜でした。

The full moon is also said to affect our state of mind. At full moon, the energy of the moon is at its peak. Therefore, it is easy for us to feel upset, and it is said that accidents and violent crimes are likely to occur on a full moon day.
Certainly, it's a full moon night when werewolves start rampaging.




わたし自身も、言われてみれば、満月の夜はちょっと落ち着かなくなることもあります。ただそれは、いつもより少し活動的に、冒険がしたくなるといった高揚感です。

I am not a rampage like a werewolf. Although, it seems, I can be a bit restless. It means an uplifting feeling that makes me want to have more adventure than usual.

これは、ある満月の日、自宅から近くの街まで、満月を追いながら撮影したものです。すばらしく晴れた日でした。
満月の夜は、大きな望遠レンズを付けたカメラを持って、月を撮影しようという人を見かけることもあります。

On a full moon night, some people try to shoot the moon with a camera equipped with a large telephoto lens.

ところで、満月の夜に飛行機に乗るのなら、ぜひ窓側の席を。
わたしはなぜか偶然、何度も、満月の夜に飛行機に乗ったことがありました。ラッキーなことに、すべて窓側席でした。
旅の高揚感のなかで、満月を見ながら、すっと不思議な世界に入った気がしました。

By the way, if you board an airplane on a full moon night, definitely take a seat by the window.
I happened to fly many times on a full moon night. Luckily, it was all window seats.
As I was uplifting from the trip, I felt like I entered a godly world while watching the full moon.


旅先での満月の思い出としては、南の島のコテージに滞在したとき、夜中にふとこころがざわざわして、コテージのドアを開けたところ、満月が輝いていたこともありました。
半分寝ぼけながら、満月が呼んでくれたのだ、と、嬉しくなったものです。

さて、今夜はどんな月が見られるでしょう？

When I was staying at a cottage on the southern island, my heart suddenly blew up in the middle of the night, and when I opened the cottage door, the full moon  shined,with a very bright light.
I felt that the full moon called me. Actually, I was half asleep.

What kind of moon can we see tonight?
