Compass is an accurate navigational tool for accurately matching the earth's magnetic.

Geological compasses have many uses, among them are used to measure the position of an element of geological structure, measure the strike / dip of the slope of the rock layer, and of course as a pointer.
=>. How to use

From several sources, how to use the geological compass seen from the main parts of the compass. Among them:
Compass Needle
The compass needle always points toward the magnetic north pole of the earth. Therefore there is a deviation with the north pole of geography commonly called declination. Declination usually has a different magnitude in every place. In order for the compass to match the north pole of geography, the "graduated circle" must be rotated.
Dividend Sharing Circle
There are 2 types of degrees in this compass,
The azimuth compass with the division of degrees from 0 degrees in the north up to 360 degrees counter-clockwise.
Kompas kwardan has a division of degrees from 0 degrees to the north and south, then 90 degrees to the east and west
Clinometer
Compass part that serves to measure the slope of a slope. lies at the base of the compass and is usually equipped with horizontal and scale gauge bubbles.
