How to Manually Wordpress Backup
After many settings on wordpress blogs and blog articles that more and more, then you should keep your blog if something happens that can make your blog can not function properly or completely can not be accessed. The most powerful and simple way is to backup wordpress manually and I will explain the steps in doing manual backup of wordpress. I often use this way, because it is more efficient use of server resources. let alone my blog is also not updated every day. You do not need any software here. Simply browser and cpanel. If your hosting does not have cpanel, then you still can still use this way but with the name of different tools. I will give you an example using cpanel.

With Backup manually you can make database backups quickly every time you need it. It is useful to restore your WordPress site in case of errors. At any time the user has lost access to their WordPress admin area because it is due to some plugin error. can not access to the admin area then to use the backup plugin we have installed also can not. So by knowing backups manually will help you to overcome if the error occurs.
There are two different ways but the same way to do manual backups in the post is through Control Panel or cPanel hosting you and you can choose one of these ways as you need.

### FIRST METHODE : BACKUP WORDPRESS MANUALLY

For the first backup this is by visiting your cPanel login page and enter your cPanel username and password.

Once in the cPanel area, there are a variety of icons that are grouped according to their respective functions as shown in the picture below.

now you have to go to the part where your WordPress site files are stored in File Manager by click on icon "File Manager".

and in the file manager you will see many directories in File Manager, and please open the directory named "public_html", or in the root directory or directory where you saved your WordPress site files.

After the directory where your WordPress site file storage is open then to block the files and folders as you wish to backup. Or the easiest way is to select the main folder that stores your site files.

If all the steps you have been through and the process of selecting has been completed and the position of the folder or file in the selected state, please click on the "Compress" menu located in the menu bar or right click da select "Compress". its can be it Zip Archive, Tar Archive, Gziped Tar Archive.  And then please click "Compress Files" button.

wait until the compression process is complete, and if it is finished then your WordPress site files in compressed form will appear if not seen you can refresh your page. then right-click the file and select "Download" or download the file by click menu "Download" found on menu bar at the top.

wait until the download is complete, thus the process of manually backup WordPress file has been done.

### NEXT USING PHPMYADMIN

After the backup process files for your WordPress site is complete, it is time to backup your WordPress Database using phpMyAdmin. phpMyAdmin is an open source software that lets you manage your MySQL database using a web based interface. PhpMyAdmin is already installed on most of the WordPress hosting providers.

Now please click on the "phpMyAdmin" icon in the Database category section.

This will open the phpMyAdmin page. And please click the name of your WordPress database to open and view the list of WordPress database tables.Please check all your databases by scrolling down and click "Select All", then click the Export menu button "link" from the top menu bar.

You will be presented with two choices of export methods: Quick and Custom. If you select Fast then simply click "Go" or "Submit" button.

And if you choose Custom will reveal more options. First, it will show all of your tables in the WordPress database and you can select the table you want to select just to export.

Next there is a "Save output to file" option for you to scroll with the database option you would export with the .sql extension type or choose the zip or gzip option.

And now click on the 'Go' button to perform the backup process and your auto will pop up to instantly download your database file to your local computer.

Download database backup And please wait for your database download process is complete, if it is then the database backup process manually through phpMyAdmin has finished you do.


### SECOND METHOD: BACKUP WORDPRESS IN MANUAL

In the second way this is a very easy and faster process, but this way it has the disadvantage that you can not choose a particular file or folder for your backup and for the database also can not select a specific table as you can with phpMyAdmin. To perform manual backup process in this second way, the same step is to visit the login page of your cPanel hosting area as well as in the first way above.

After entering your cPanel page please find the icon with the label "Backup" on the Database and click the icon.

On this Backup page you will be faced with two options: Backup in full (Full Backup). Using this method will make a full backup by archiving all the files and configuration of your website. You can use this file to move your account to another server or save a copy to your local file's computer.

To do Backup as a whole then you just need to click "Download a Full Website Backup". It will automatically download the file for you as a whole.

And second is Partial Backup for WordPress and MySQL Data Files and Email can be downloaded separately, so if you only want to download only database or file of your site in Home directory only then option "Partial Backup" is the right choice for you.

To perform this process please click the "Home Directory" button In the Download Home Directory Bakcup section to download your WordPress file and click your database name in the "Download a My Database Backup" section to download your WordPress database.

And that's the process of manually backup WordPress that you can do through Control Panel or cPanel. Basically how to backup is the same even though the hosting you are using does not use Control Panel with cPanel like iPage hosting that uses Control Panel using vDeck, which distinguishes only view only.
