I felt I had a quite stupid experience at Toa Payoh Polyclinic recently. My appointment was at 0850h. I went earlier to register and was there at 0735h queuing.
<br>
<br>
When I reached the kiosk, I couldn't scan my ID card for registration and the man assisting there checked my appointment time and told me I can only register 10 minutes later. I saw many others also being told they can only register within 1 hour of appointment time and were told them to sit and wait. Meanwhile, all the other patients without an appointment in the queue breeze through the queue.

This registration kiosk is causing a lot more work for the staff there. The man then had to monitor the people waiting and call them when it is time they can register. 
<br>
<br>
When a system penalised people coming a bit earlier to wait longer and make the workload heavier for the staff, something needs to be fixed. Not just the system but the people designing the work process need to put more thoughts about how the users will be impacted. What do you think?
