Back to the "G String"
Yes, you have read the title correctly but no, the post has nothing to do with what you may know about the G String of Bach. It's just a metaphor of mine of saying that I am turning my attention back to the German language which I call the *G String*. "*Deutsche sprache, schwere sprache*" is again on my mind and bit by bit on my lips also.

Although I am not proficient in neither English, German or Italian, I do have some knowledge about the three languages and are three of my favorite foreign languages. I would have mentioned French also because I love the way it sounds, especially coming from a woman's lips, but I am frustrated about not remembering much about it, since I learned it in school but never really practice it. Haven't met any french girl...

German language however, I learned by myself and with the help of some colleagues at work when living in Germany, but I haven't got to that point of being confident about it and being able of speaking the language on any subject.Probably because I left Germany pretty soon after started learning the language and left the learning project aside.

When I was to Austria for a few days in December last year I felt *the German vibe* again and I even talked a bit the language but it was like rocks would flow out of my mouth and I've made myself understood pretty hard. It sparked my desire though to get back to the language and continue my learning. Not that I use it for the moment but because I see it as a collection of good old and valuable stamps. You feel good about owning them and never know when another collector enters your path.

Thus I decided to dedicate 20-30 minutes a day, every day, from my time, to learning German...properly. For that to come true the guys from [Easy German](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbxb2fqe9oNgglAoYqsYOtQ) will come in hand with their extremely useful and easy to follow youtube videos. It's somehow another goal/challenge that I have for 2019 besides the ones mentioned in [a previous post](https://steemit.com/life/@acesontop/new-year-s-resolutions-finally-on-paper-d92965d6b23e8). Just hope to keep up with all the goals that I got for 2019 and be proud of the results by the end of the year.

I know that for some of you the German language might sound rough and hard to learn and to some extent it is so but you should know that it is like math. Hard when you start learning it but beautiful and rewarding once you go through and master it. Wish me luck and hopefully by the end of the year I will even write my first Steem post in German. Fingers crossed!

**Thanks for attention and have a great day!**
**Adrian**
