DAV Network - Is This A Good Investment Opportunity?

<h2>Why Will I Invest In DAV Network?</h2>
<p>Investment decisions for different people are guided by different reasons, some rely on data, some people rely on hype and some people rely on personal assessments. I personally use a mix of all, especially in the blockchain and crypto space. In the crypto space one cannot afford to rely on only one reason to make investment decisions, and before I can invest personally into any project I believe it should fulfill more than half of the following criteria</p>
<ul>
  <li>A project that is needed and feasible</li>
  <li>A Reliable team to deliver the project</li>
  <li>Data that back up its progress and a good token metrics</li>
</ul>
<p>I will now apply these same decision criteria to the DAV project which will shed some light on the things I have been able to realize that I believe suggests DAV will represent a smart investment decision.</p>

<h3>The Project</h3>
<p>DAV aims to solve a problem that is present in a lot of countries all over the world which is Transportation. This transportation problem presents itself in different ways, like traffic congestions, parking space, accidents, environmental pollution and more.</p>
<p>Autonomous (self-driving) vehicles provide the solution to a lot of these problems as they are equipped with smart technology and artificial intelligence that makes navigation safer, more time conscious and reduce carbon emissions. World tech giants over the years have invested heavily in this sector and have been making great progress.</p>
<p>DAV network has recognized this future multi-billion dollars industry and is creating a solution to the potential problem this technology will be posted with which is commercialization for mainstream use.</p>
<p>What use is it to have an autonomous car that will be sitting idle when you are not using it? How will an average person that cannot afford this car benefit from this technology? Will the advent of autonomous vehicles really make much of a difference?</p>
<p>DAV network is answering all these questions by creating a trustless network of autonomous vehicles and people where anyone with a vehicle; either a car, a drone, a bus or even a truck can list its services and anyone in need of a ride or other services can hire them in a transparent way. The human factor has been eliminated from financial transactions with the aid of smart contracts and DAV tokens, also every single record is publicly available on the blockchain chain.</p>
<p>DAV network positions itself in the middle of an industry that already involves tech giants like Google, BMW, Ford and many other large companies. The upside is all these companies will benefit from the existence of DAV network as it will fast-track the mainstream adoption of their products.</p>
<p>Investment in DAV is more so an investment in one of the worlds next big transportation technological breakthrough.</p>
<h3>The Team</h3>
<p>For every successful blockchain project there has to be a good team in charge of the project and also be supported with good but also the right type of advisors for the project. That said let's look briefly into the team and advisors.</p>
<p>The Project Team is made up of 19 professionals from their respective teams. The CEO Noam Copel is an experienced professional who has Co-founded several successful business startups including MetaCafe. The team members have a good balance if crypto and centralized business experience, the team notably has a lot of top developers which is a good sign and shows some emphasis on the project development.</p>

<p>The advisors sector is where this project team really stands out to me as the DAV project management has shown no restraint in getting the top advisors in the business, present on this projects are advisors from aviation, blockchain, crypto, automotive, autonomy, technology, IoT and every aspect of technology required to make this project a success. Even better is the companies where these advisors have gained their experiences like &nbsp;GM, SAP, NASA, UPS, IBM, Ford, Bancor and Ethereum developers.</p>
<p>This blend if team members and advisors are more than capable of delivering on the promise of this project.</p>
<h3>The Data&nbsp;</h3>
<p>The set of known data I lay emphasis on is the presence of a working product or otherwise roadmap progress and also the token economics.</p>
<p><strong>The Roadmap</strong> of this project shows every set milestone going according to plan with the first DAV smart contract deployed in November 2017 to different tested successful autonomous service launch in Q1 and Q2 of 2018. I believe this team is capable of keeping up with fulfilling the milestones.</p>
<p><strong>The Token Economics</strong> for the token sale shows 40% of the total token supply up for sale, with 15% for the team and advisors which will be locked up temporarily, 25% bounties and partnerships And 20% Long-Term Budget.&nbsp;</p>
<p>I don't totally agree with this token distribution because I believe a decentralized platform should ideally offer more than half of the total token supply to the community and for a project with a cap as high as $38 million, 40% is not good enough for me.</p>

<p>That said I believe they made up for that with the use of proceeds allocations, as 45% Is allocated for research and development, 20% for expansion and operations, and 15% for marketing, all of this showing that the proceeds of the token sale is mainly focused on the product. The remaining 20% is allocated equally for legal/compliance and administrative uses.</p>
<h2>Conclusion</h2>
<p>The project purpose and team get a pass mark and I am divided over the data because the roadmap checks out but I am not fully convinced the token economics was properly distributed. With that said a 3/4 score represents 75% by my personal analysis which is a pass mark. &nbsp;It is almost impossible for a blockchain project to have it complete in every aspect and different other factors matters in the success of a crypto project. Factors like social media following of which DAV has over 50 thousand members in its telegram community, showing the project has a very good following.</p>
<h2>Expert Opinion</h2>
<p>I follow experts and analysts in the crypto space, these are more experienced people who have different criteria to analysis of ICOs and crypto projects. One of them is "TheGobOne" an ICO analyst who also uses token metrics to analyze ICOs and he is well recognized for his work. The DAV project is currently rated at 93.77% on TheGobOne's spreadsheet which indicates a very good project.</p>
<p>P.S: TheGobOne uses more reference points&nbsp;</p>
<p>I will definitely be investing in this project and I recommend you do your personal research too before investing, as this article is not meant to serve as a form of business advice.</p>
