**DEAR DIARY**
I decided to get a new look at the start of the year. On 2/01/2021, I got my hair into knotless box braids! Pls enjoy the ride as I take you through my day.
After observing devotion with the family,I attended to a couple of chores. Had my shower,dressed up and had breakfast. Then I put my hair tools, creams,leave-in&water spray together ready to go to the salon. My stylist asked me to bring the hair extension early in the morning,so she can pick them and have it neatly arranged beforehand,which I already did.
I had prepared my hair the previous day to get ready for the braids- it's my first knotless box braids. And I was very excited about it. I saw this rocking braid style on Instagram and Youtube last year. And I made up my mind to do it.
In preparing my hair, I had shampooed and deep conditioned it for 30 mins. Then with the LCO method,I applied leave-in conditioner and moisturizing cream,leaving out the "O" which is oil.
>No oils,because it will make the hair slippery and uneasy to handle for the stylist.
I made big twists as you can see below. This keeps my natural hair softened.
I wore my satin bonnet and headed for the salon.
We started around 12.40pm.

It was beyond waistlength😯. I really love these braids.
Time to get some curly ends.
I told her I wanted curly ends, about one-third of braid length,in place of the regular pencil ends. So she did the ends this way,spinning a thread around a handful of braids and pushed up the thread to give some spiral shape,just as you can see it below.

She did this for all the braids. And then put each in a bowl of hot water, one after the other. This gave the braids curly ends .
I took brighter pictures the following days.
Making the hair lasted about eight to eight and half hours,cause it was just only her. If there were two or three hands it wouldn't take that long. And also I took a break to eat lunch. I left the salon around past 9pm. Dinner was already prepared. So I ate and rested a while. I brushed and showered. And went to bed after praying.
I received a lot of compliments for my new hair. It is actually more of ladies with permed hair that are rocking the style. I'm happy I tried the knotless box braids on my natural hair and it came out really nice.
For women who rock natural hair,if you are wondering whether you can get knotless box braids with your natural hair,yes,you can! All you need to do is prepare your hair the way I did mine and you will be glad at the result.
