DIVE IN, LIVE LIFE
We doubt the decisions we've taken wondering whether we've made grave errors. We angst about the choices we are about to make, second guessing ourselves endlessly. We seek opinions, external affirmation and confuse ourselves all the more. We drive ourselves cuckoo in trying to make the right decision.
There is no such thing. There are paths in life and lessons to be learned. Every choice takes us towards a lesson that we were anyway meant to learn. So rather than breaking our heads, let's follow our hearts. Proposing to that person or taking up that job may or may not lead to a happy ending but life is not about an ending. Death is the ending. Life is a journey with ups and downs. And if we don't get onto the train, how can we have a journey?
Happy is our choice. Life is our choice. Let's forget what's right or wrong and do what makes us happy. Forget about pleasing others. Stay true to ourselves. Maybe we'll fly high, maybe we'll get a couple of knocks, either way we'll be living, learning and moving forward. That's what counts. Whatever we want, go for it.
EXCITEMENT IS WHAT WE BRING
We often complain that our work isn't exciting anymore or that the excitement has gone out of our relationship. But this is such a passive, backseat cribboo approach to life. No one's going to hand us a menu with excitement on it so that we can order multiple portions. We have to create and bring excitement into everything we do.
Let's be grateful that we do have a job and people in our life. Beyond that let's take it on ourselves to make things exciting. Let's open our minds, set new goals at work, set out to learn more, do more.
Let's break our relationship out of its routine. Let's think of new things to do, new shared activities, let's talk more, really talk and understand the other person beyond what we think we know.
Let's get out of our comfort zone. Let's stop doing things on auto pilot. If we want to have an exciting, fun life, let's start being exciting.
