 Silver is better than Gold. I congratulated my cousin today on his son getting a medal in Boxing. The response was less than enthusiastic…we are getting stuck with Silver these days, he said ruefully. A second position is the sweetest spot to be in. You have a Gold to look forward to and yet it gives you a sense of achievement. The top spot is great but the only way from there is to go down. No, I am not suggesting that you should aim for the second spot but never look down upon it. Always have something to look forward to. It doesn’t matter if it is Bronze or Silver or Gold…participation with enthusiasm is a medal in itself.
